Anyone who have used it please tell me will this thing get scratches if I use it rough???
Also how is the video recording quality. Most of the people are complaining about its video.
I am not going or Note 3 as it doesn't have Gorilla Glass. Once I buy a phone I dnt change it for 10 months also I dnt use any sort of casing to protect my phone.
So should I buy this thing???? My needs are:

I did check the software updates however it said i have the latest software update already. I thought there's a bug so i factory resetted my phone but still no mobile signal. Samsung Care still hasn't contacted me about what happened. :( i miss my phone

The I tried to update via Mobile Data, and we do have the same carrier. All of their i9505 need to update. check first if when was did your fone registered for an update.

Let's say for instance that Samsung finish an update on 01/11/13. They then have to send the update out to each carrier in each country for approval. The carrier installs the update and then tries it out for let's say 2 weeks. Then the carrier reports back to Samsung on 15/11/13 and wants an alteration to the Firmware. Samsung have rewrite the Firmware and then send it out again. 2 weeks later the carrier reports back to Samsung approving the Firmware (now 28/11/13) and it gets released.
You moan about the slow update on your laptop. It's your connection at fault, not Samsung's problem.
My OTA update took less than 30 minutes. The file size is 1.6Gb, what do you expect on a laptop.
I downloaded a backup the Firmware for my own use. Now, I have a 60Mb Broadband Fibre Optic connection and that download took about 20 minutes (it took that long because it was a busy time of day).
Stop blaming everyone else.

4 sept -2013- yesterday- checked for update via handset-check for update- message received == etc etc update later or via kies -- so conncected to kies -- firmware update took 2 hrs - still 4.2.2 mh8.. wed aug 21 10.57.53 kst 2013 .. had checked via handset software update and kies - on 3 sept == latest software already installed !
questions--1- why update mh8 released on aug 21 takes 14 days to reach the handset not via ota n no notification !! 2- 2hrs via kies to download and install .. 3- what major benefits ? 4- what about humble folks without laptops in backpockets ? 5- why not less cumbersome update process in sept 2013 ? man went to moon in ?1968 !! is this a samsung specific problem ? please enlighten ..thanks ..

Hi everyone, did anybody encounter the same problem with me? my phone all of a sudden lost data connection while browsing the internet. it says insert sim card and no mobile signal at all. i left it with samsung service center and was advised it's gonna be investigated for a week or two. i tried using a new simcard still no signal. i got it from Smart Mobile from the philippines and was just using the phone since july 23. I feel so bad i had to stick up with a phone for a 2 yrs in a contract that had been repaired after a month of use.

SORRY SAMSUNG..s4 I9505 have been made stunning performance but the battery life is dissapointed.cant keep the phone at the maximum setting or to use all the function..not a chance..and yes is better to keep the phone with the first version of android ..dont updated

My battery drains so fast after updating it to the latest version and downloading apps even with minimum use and features off. I was disappointed but I read an article to reset the phone for better battery life. Woala! Mine lasts more than a day. Good job s4! Nice phone if u want a bigger screen.

Thanks for your suggestion. One of the (many) times i came home with my unit from the service center (the unit was reformatted and the software was reinstalled) i made sure it was running the most recent android version and used it as is (without syncing it with my google account and apps or installing any apps). After a couple or so days, the unit still auto shut off.
I really wish it were just app incompatibility...
