Very good phone.MP3 player,117 minutes Dictaphone,superb display.All for $244. It's really worth it.

Fantastic phone! Pros: size, design, MP3, Memory card, Outlook sync, looks... Cons: no HSCSD/GPRS.... I got a SL42e on Orange and added a 64MB MMC and phones for around 1hrs music.... superb. Works as modem with laptop and Handspring (only 9K6 :-( ). Everyone loves this phone!

I want to buy sl42, so I got some questions; Is it true that with sl42 I don´t get cable for PC, handsfree and headphones? If that´s true I will rather buy sl45 instead of sl42, with all needed accessories, btw thnx.

I think the SL42 is on of the best siemens out to day coz it has a mp3 player internet,and good value for moye i hav got this very nice phone BUT if u havint got it GO AND GET NOW!!!!!!!!!

How about SL42 and SL45 ?It just the size of MMC 16MBFor SL42 And 32MB for SL45 ,isn't it? Who Know please help me answer this question? Could we use SL45 version for upgrade to SL42?

it's a very good phone.i had in the past S6, S9, S10, S25 and now i have sl42, it's the future in greece this mobile. bravo!!!!!!!!! (sorry but my engish knowledges isn't good ..... sorry...)

the siemens sl42 is in my opinion, the dogs dangly bits. cheaper than is big brother (the sl45) with all the same spec.
as long as you get the stereo headphones the mp3 player works a dream. the mmc (multi media card) is a great way to store data (and so much of it), all i would say is get yourself a larger mmc and a usb mmc reader/writer as the data cable and docking station is a little slow (but still works ok!). so anyone who thinks this phone is a pup needs their head examined, and should get a nokia as they cant apreciate the finer things in life!.

WARNING:
If you need loud ring volume - DON'T GET THIS PHONE. completely hopeless, the volume goes to about 4/10. Can't hear it at a bar/in my bag/in another room, etc, etc.
AND YOU CAN'T TRY IT OUT IN THE PHONE STORES! livid. - and i'm stuck with the sucker for two years. swap with me??
