Hi all, love my idol 3 4.7 only problems: can't end the call after its over, and whit wifi on, people hear me whit glishes in hands free call, love the sound, my screen is fine after 1 month of use, no problems there, totally worth it vs zen fon. and im lumia user until idol 3.

i am a technician and i have used more then 100 phones in my life.... idol 3 is yet the best phone... for a cheap phone, it is very fast in processing and internet... overheats at times but only when downloading too much from the net... off the data and it cools down fast... camera is amazing... the perfect cheap phone

It's a design issue because of the chip placement. It's too close to the display and in time it starts showing like a square. It doesn't impact functionality thou. Next Idol will be better. Although I use an IPhone 6s, I'll still get an Idol 4 as a secondary phone. Great design and specs and quite different form factor unlike the competition.

The white spots look like a square actually, so I wonder if it isn't the result of a chip overheating underneath the display. I didn't have the problem with my first Idol 3 though,the one that I lost.
For the rest, I'm still quite happy with the phone.

Hello all have anyone had a problem with idol 3 with whatsapp... it's been already 1 month using the phone and I was surprised today when I couldn't post anything on the groups on whatsapp. When ever the admin add me back to the group and try to write I left the group I did happen with all the groups I have on whatsapp. Anyone faced this problem. Pl advice thank you

open weather icon with browser, then slide down to " mobile site map" press, again to slide down , to find help press and now you see how the switch to metric units press on MY SETTINGS underlined sliding down a little bit and see F & C SELECT C now slide up and push DONE and completed the process

Now the weather bar reads farenheit and i am not able to change it to centrigrade for the temperature. any suggestions? i am not able to access the settings for the accuweather weather tool bar on the home screen. can you help? i have already restarted several times, no avail thanks. I had this phone for 9 months so far and it worked perfectly, never have any problems with it, works like a charm, I have all updates installed from 5.0.2.002 to 5.0.2.007 and phone just keeps to be better...
Great screen, and sound from JBL speakers are awesome....Now I just wait for Marshmallow update to come and make this phone even better...

Magelike, 15 Apr 2016Purchased one and already sent it back to replace the scree... moreI had tha same issue with alcatel idol 3 4.7. I replaced the screen on warranty last month and the white spots are here again. I think maybe it's a problem with alcatel's tehnicolor display.

Purchased one and already sent it back to replace the screen: white spots in the lower third, visible - and annoying - on white and light color backgrounds, so technically always... Very sad about this... Talked to somebody who has replaced the screen 3 times already, white spots are coming back after 2-3 weeks, despite the screen replacement...
Can somebody confirm that this is a global issue? If so I would sell my device, don't want to replace the screen every month or so... Very disappointed, not to much devices under 5"...
