anonym, 06 May 2011Pardon my ignorance, is there no other way to upgrade one's... moreI think there is no other way because once you started flashing it, or in the process, your PC or laptop will be downloading the latest files from the server that would be needed to update your phone. I recommend flashing it with wired internet connection.

Pardon my ignorance, is there no other way to upgrade one's unit maybe upgrading manually or something cos network is poor in my area so i doubt if i could ever get it ever get it done through one touch software.

omg, 30 Apr 2011i really want to upgrade my phone, but im a little afraid o... moreYes, you have to back up first your files like notes, phonebook before doing so. I upgraded my unit using the latest software (it took more than three hours in the process because I was using Globe Tattoo 3G connection for my PC). I was not satisfied with the result, I didn't find any significant improvement in texting which is my main concern, so I decided to finally sell my unit to my cousin.

[deleted post]The file is a compressed file, you need to have a file extractor program (winzip, winrar, 7-zip, etc)for you to open the file. Just Google any of these program, install it then right click One Touch Upgrade 4.1.0.9.rar select extract files and you should be able to see the executable installer (One Touch Upgrade 4.1.0.9.exe)

Just download One Touch Upgrade App and just follow the instructions.
Advantage:
... you can read my older post... generally it increases your fones performance
Disadvantage:
... None. Back up your files stored on fone memory cause it will be deleted. Power outage during upgrade process, in case your computer shutdown or something in the middle of the upgrade process (Flashing process) will break your fone

I'd bought this unit April 28, 2011 and i try to surf this phone on that day and its really suck for me. Slow response typing on the keypad., No recent logs, easily drain battery. Speaker really sucks too. Hope they can upgrade the software (android) (: Hopefully

Anonymous, 28 Apr 2011How about sms typing. It is not easy to type your sms compa... moreUse the qwerty keyboard instead of the standard keyboard. For accuracy, just calibrate your screen. Try to create sms after you calibrate and if your still having accuracy problem, just do the calibration again until you get the desired result. It should work perfectly.

i already had successfully upgraded my OT710D to it's latest firmware....
what i noticed is that the touch response of the phone seems to be so fast, not like before... it's so fast that now, i wanna txt all i want because it runs smooth,....
you can notice the smoothness and fastness of the touch response when you lock/unlock the phone...
