I just got the alcatel ot-806a and for some reason i am not able to connect using wifi.the wifi signal on the left side of the screen has a circle with a line in it, from what the quick guide states is the wifi is not connected. When i turn on the wifi the circle with the line stays there. I can hook up to my wirless at home and there is a green check that says I am connected and the blue wifi signal is on. I am not sure if it is a setting in the phone that the circle with the line in it won't go away. If anyone knows how to fix this, that would be great thank you

A terrible phone. I purchased 4 new phones in December and by August all four had to be sent in for repairs to screen not responding. One charging unit broke. One had keys that malfuntioned. You need to be an expert on paperwork to send back for warrenty. Reception is poor on this phone also compared to other phones. Functions and design are wonderful, but my experiences with this phone will cause me to never buy another alcatel phone.

Profile name: Wireless streaming
Data Account: choose Wi-Fi
Use proxy: Off
make no changes to Proxy server and proxy port
Lowest UDP port: 1024
Highest UDP port: 65535
Done.
That should do it, but you'll only be able to play videos via wifi, to use sim, you'll have to deactivate this acc. And still, streaming won't work on all routers, and signal should have at least two bars =\
