Anonymous, 14 Aug 2011how can i watch youtubedownload a java app, Bolt browser, and from the bolt itself it will give you options on how you view the videos in youtube. bolt lite sucks. download the full bolt browser and with that you can stream(2nd setting of the bolt media player) or download (3rd option of the bolt browser) videos in youtube or any other tubesites. ^^

AnonD-17887, 15 Aug 2011i had my phone last May 2011 and it's almost been 3 months ... morejust do a hard reboot if thats the case. i had that as well, and try to update the software once in a while. download the new software for more assurance.

For me these keys sometimes aren't responding except when I enter any menu (ts works fine). It goes away by it self after a while, but pulling the battery out (restarting) helped as well =)

But I have not yet checked internet using the WiFi. The problem is I cannot connect to the internet through cable using the PC suite.
I'll write down what all message the Dial-Up shows in Autoconnect & Manual configuration
Autoconnect (Auto-Dial mode, i.e without configuring our own setting)
1) Getting the modem...
2) Verifying the username and password...
3) Registering computer on the Network...
4) The PPP link control protocol was terminated.
Manual configuration (after putting the APN)
1) Standard 33600bps Modem
2) Connecting the device...
The dial-up screen shows the "connecting the device" message for long (over 2 minutes) and then comes up with the following message
3) The remote server is not responding in a timely fashion
My mobile operator had said that there was only the APN to be entered and hence only entered the APN and leave the Phonenumber, Username & password field blank. I can connect to the internet using only the APN when i'm using Nokia.
Has anyone tried to connect to internet using the cable and any experience that can be shared??

i had my phone last May 2011 and it's almost been 3 months since i keep on using it. it's working well but it just so happened that the keypad, as well as the power key, the answer key, the volume adjuster and the wi-fi key, all of them aren't working! it happened all of a sudden and i'm so confused of how to make it work again. i don't remember a thing i did before it went that way. could someone out there help me out?? i really don't know what to do T_T

wow after reading all the comments on this phone,I was offered a blackberry storm 9530, but I think am going to drop it and grabb me one of this because of the music especially 42 hrs is it...good job guys,and thanks to alcatel...keep it up!
will be coming back with more questions once i get my personal hands on experience...

I have this phone few months and is great. The net, battery etc. However I have 3 questions that I can't figure it out:
1. How can I read .pdf books? It don't recognize them.
2. Mail - it simply don't accept my mails. How I create, update and read mails?
3. I have installed skype, but it don't accept my user name and pass. Any idea for good skype version?
4. How does the Ebook version works?

Ritesh, 26 Jul 2011Call volume is so low call quality is badthis is to everyone who has problem with the talk volume.... there is a way to fix this. i own a OT-806D which is dual sim and had the same issue... here is what i did. i hope this works on the OT-806 as well.
1. type *#364463# and go to engineering mode
2. Audio-> Speech Enhancement-> Normal Mode-> Parameter 7 and change the default value of 0 to 65000. click ok and go back back all the way till u hit the stand by screen and test the volume.... this worked for me... i hope it works on your phones as well.

I have just bough... morehm, does it at least show that it's charging when you connect it to your pc? if not, try different cable. also when you connect it, it should display menu prompting which mode you wan't to use (usb drive, com port..). other than that, connecting and data transfering should work fine even without the pc suite

I have purchased a Alcatel OT-806D, I am satisfied with this phone. However I have a problem. Some J2ME applications don't support touch screen, they require to use keyboard for choosing, but I see that this phone's QWERTY keyboard doesn't have left key and right right. This phone's keyboard only has Call key and Uncall key, I try to use them but not effect. Please help me. Thanks.
