AnonD-40607, 02 Feb 2012Has anyone had experience sync'ing the phone with 'Outlook'?Yup tried it on my company email ad by POP3, it could check, open current incoming email but doent stored in an inbox. Dont know if it has setting for storing retrieve emails from outlook.

Alcatel 990 is mobile phone with excellent specification. The only disadvantage of this device is a small amount of available memory. The solution to this problem is in the process of processing the operating system (root) and memory card (partition) to record programs and games on a memory card, instead of working memory. There are several applications for this technique: app2sd, move2sd, etc. Link2SD is best method to switch the card installation.

im left handed n i find it to be better for me than alot of phones i have. it has a few glitches though but what phone doesnt. i really like mine.

over all it is a nice phone but i am facing a problem with this mobile is that the battery backup is very low. if it can be shorted out pls give me a review. thank you.

Real good phone just fighting with the predictive text and the lil bit internal memory all other is perfect specially the price 4 times less than torch or droid here in mexico

good phone it only doesn't have enought internal storage
procesor is pretty fast
internet browsing witn java script and plugins off is very fast
i only have problems that shortcuts on homescren sometis mixed

perfect phone , I made a tutorial for the root, ext2, partition, battery calibration, speeding .... .

In Belgium mostly known as "Los Angeles" - nice design, decent price (between 110-125€ in Antwerp), a good phone as your first Android smartphone.

i bought the device with no service provider etc ..
i run the new version of the updater 1.8.3 but it doesnt update ! it keeps getting me 2.2 i tryed it twice already !
i live in greece if that matters !
can some1 that has update make a back up of the rom and upload it ?!

qwerty1983, 09 Jan 2012what do u mean by "if supported by service provider &q... moreThat refers to carrier branded phones. If you have an factory unlocked 990, then it should ideally upgrade with no issue. Problem is that the upgrade tool keeps timing out for me.

Gingerbread is much much faster than Froyo on the 990. Can't wait till they the upgrade tool working right.
