In Bulgaria this model is sold without contract for 140 EUR /incl. WAT/ with 1 GB memory card and 5!!! years warranty.

It has Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, meaning it has what to date is the fastest bluetooth spec :-)

We all wonder what happend to ALCATEL, their only big hit was the OT db series (easy, max, etc )which is one of the best selling mobile phones of all time and some see it as one of the best mobile phones created in history. They just weren't able to create another good phone other than sub-par inferior phones compared to the competition, and have been in a downwards spiral ever since the OT db was discontinued.

what about bluetooth file transfer is it fast and easy ?? or is it difficult and slow , we cant expect much coz it is alcatel's first phone with fully functional bluetooth

Hello everyone, I have it from 5 days /1 charging of the battery/. It is simple and easy to use – very logical menu. Have a perfect loudspeaker but bad earphones for the handsfree and MP3. When listening in nosy surroundings to MP3 the noise of the music is very low. Haven’t try with other phones /it has 3,5 mm jack/. Very bright display.

This phone is already available in the Philippines for only Php 7,900 or USD 171.70.

But C820 has the same datas as the C825 - only the color is much better^^

Simple answer... yes... The phone supports 2 gb Micro SD cards (hotswap)(at least it was announced like that). The speaker is ok but the S853 was better due to multiple channel sound. Photoburst is a certain type of photo shooting mode, its difficult to explain... you will just have to see for your self. Also this phone is NOT available in black... the black one is the slightly different C820 (GSMArena.com please add that phone too).

to knight rider... is the speaker of this phone loud enough? i enjoy hearing music from the speaker aside from the head set. and does it read the memory card faster than the ot s853? i mean does it have a hotswap functionality? this phone is already available in the philippines and it cost 8200 php or 167 usd. i've seen the phone in black and it was so slim. so petite. and i've seen that it's camera has a photoburst function. what does it mean by photoburst? hope you can help me. thanks and God bless.+

I've browsed through Protel, although it's in German the navigation are ok..will get back to you once OTC835 launches thx!. I've found the OT-T701 in one of the shopping malls here in Kuala Lumpur. It's selling for RM 990 (Approx USD 290). I took a good look at the set and it's not that impressive to be honest. That's why I'm looking forward to seeing the new OT-T series in the market here

Don, the German partner of Alcatel www.protel.de will start to offer the phone during this or the next week for a price of ?179 (+ additional price for postage). The site is in German but they do worldwide delivery. If you want I could help you to navigate the site, if you don´t understand the language.
