btw .. what kind of sensor does the camera have ? ccd or cmos ??

can't wait to see how the phone holds up after months of usage and reviews of call quality and reception. alcatel brand is new to me. i really like the industrial design of this model. the back is not as cool as the front though.

Wow! Its such a great model that had meet the top standard when comparing to any phone. I like this alcatel's model. It meets my requirement. The design has a great lookin! Finally, Alcatel can produce the latest gadget. Now there is no more to worry abt it. The 1st thing I saw is their 2.1 speaker wit bass too! And also allow to expand the memory at last. Great!

there is the only alcatel fone i will consider... which they built in very good features on it.. i will rate it 8/10 looking at the specifications n pic's oni.. =)

well...last time i only will choose other brands phones such as nokia, motorola and SE..now,my only choice will b Alcatel...alcatel have a lots of improvement with its bluetooth and much more!But there is one more tiny things alcatel should correct it..The memory...the memory is still so little compare to other...

All the Features are not on this webiste for this phone!, gsmarena has missed other features, it has MPEG format aswell, hands-free, voice dial, voice memo, voice command, Video record of up to 10 minutes, auto focus on camera, Image viewer, Picture editor, Organiser and also syncML. Gsmarena should add these features to complete the phone on this website

does S853 can compete with k750 ?
in my opinion YES, only the k750 has better camera 2.0mpx vs 1.3 alcatel :)
and i think sagem x8 nad siemesn cx75 and others rivals can not stand even on S853 little finger :)

Alcatel has made majour popularity in busness section of mobile now, since they are releasing top high features on new mobile phones, expected to take on sony ericsson and nokia and samsung mostly, alcatel will regain there popularity and be up with them by the end of 2005
