To all OT S853 users, RAMBO IV or JOHN RAMBO is still scheduled to be in theatres on January 25. But why not watch it now on your OT S853. Just make yourself one of us. Be a member of http://groups.yahoo.com/group/alcatelots853/files/videos/. I have posted the videos there.

You must still have the archived and sent messages in the phone... erase them too.

Or if you want a FULL RESET, meaning that everything in the phone will be erased just use the reset code. The reset code is ###847#

Greetings...I need some help on this phone. Whenever I'm trying to send/recieve SMS I get a message that says "Memory is full" or something like that, I've already erased everything on the phone's memory but I still get the message, anyone know how to fix this ? or how do I reset the factory settings on this phone ? I've been looking all over for it on the options, but there's nothing like that anywhere. If you know anything about this subject please mail me at fchavez@star-cel.com. Thanks

I don't think alcatel will upgrade the bluetooth of this unit. They have upgraded the bluetooth but in another models next to this.

                    Nelson,

OK, so Versatile is also Alcatel service center...

However, I am not sure Alcatel Thailand will contact with Versatile, do you have Alcatel Phillipines there?

(PS. Here the only place we can buy Alcatel phone is directly from Alcatel Thailand...)

                    Thanks!

                      Nelson,

Thank you very much, now its working.
I used the link, so I directly download it from the site. Oxford Medical is good. I will also try the four application on this site, thanks Nelson and also to Knightrider..

kharl, I have reuploaded the medical dictionary as a test and I hope that we can do it this way rather than giving you a link. Password for this is 3520. Please tell us here if you can download the files (jad & jar) succesfully or still have problem. Thanks.

                              Knight Rider, kharl is right.

kharl, I am very sorry for this but this is not my fault. The truth is when I uploaded those things last Sunday and tried to download one of them it is still in .jad and .jar files but when I read kharl's complain today I check the files and all .jar that I have uploaded have been tweaked. The java archives (.jar) have been extracted and I really don't know what's happening. Knight Rider and others who have downloaded the files earlier (maybe Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday or before the day that kharl have downloaded) got the files in .jad and .jar files. I checked the files when I read kharl's statement that he got the files not in .jad and .jar and I have confirmed these things. To kharl and other downloaders I will delete those files and reupload them again but this time it will no longer the files themselves but it will be the links so you can download the files anytime from the freedrive where I store them.

kharl, Kindly delete what you have downloaded because they will not really run in your unit. I will reupload them today. I will just update you here. Maybe yahoo is doing something to compress everything to save disk space. I have experienced abnormalities with my mails since yahoo started to provide UNLIMITED mail quota. Some of you who emailed me asking for some help have delayed replies because some mails did not go to my inbox, they arrived in my bulk folder.

To joeyboy, thanks for the info but OT S853 here in Cebu still has the same price with OT C825 and that Php6,900. S853 price in your place is very cheap and I want to suggest those who want to purchase them that be sure that these units are coming from versatile. These units may not be originally manufactured by alcatel. There are many techicians today who can assemble phones by using parts from the damaged units like what is happening to nokia phones. Just check before buying. It is easy for any shop to say that these units have 1 year warranty in order to earn more sales.

but a question again, I unziped the files, particularly the oxford medical. but I didn't saw or found the .jad or .jar files..
some are the .MF, class File and PDB File,(no .jad and .jar)..

Kharl, check if you have done it correctly. Again, unzip the files in your pc then copy the .jad & .jar files to your memory card then paste them particularly to "JAVA" folder. Get me back if you still have problem or better post it here again so that others may also know.

I already copied the unziped files, and I placed it to the memory card using a card reader, I tried to used the oxfordmedical but the phone can't recognize the file types, theres a lot of files to be copied, and it shows a question mark icons for every files that I transfer, Where is the Executable File for those applications?
