you better not to wait for it anymore, maybe it will not be released in jakarta, almost three times a week i called alcatel/tcl during a couple of months ago but i never got any answer when it will be released. i've been so tired & i decided to buy the new nokia 6131 and i bought it yesterday.

kampret the nearest online shop should be wapzon malaysia, but i am afraid that they are still selling it at old price usd294. or you can come and buy the phone in sungai wang plaza kuala lumpur:)

i just bought my ot-s853. i love this phone, its like all-in-one except for 3G of course. but to rate it, i will definitely give it 5 stars!!! anyways, i badly needed some help on anyone who has an upgrade software for this phone. i've heard that there's an upgrade software to make it faster... thanks!

Hi all, who need this PC guide thing. Drop me your emails, I'll send it to you.
My version is old though, it's written there that the phone only supports 512 MB card.
Anyway, if that suits, just ask.
Secondly, I know 3 issues when this phone went down and did not turn on (white screen bug). Any more people having this trouble? I am missing my 853, which is in France for repairs, meanwhile we could make a club for "white screen bug victims" or so :)

BLUETOOTH : no file tranfer with 853, only for HEADSET.
use USB or IR for filetransfer. Use PC Suite for this (install before connecting USB, and follow the procedure for install)

harloe to user of OT-S853, can dis phone transfer file to other phone via bluetooth? n does dis phone have any prob wif changing or uploading themes??wat will be the major prob of dis phone?? thanks....

@Bluetooth-function: Yes, I know. But Bluetooth isn't so important for me - first I have Infrared to send datas und second: Maybe we will get a software-update? *bigsmile*

Diana: send me an email. I can provide you with the manual and some other help with the phone.
To all others, The phone needs to recharge until the battery icon no longer flickers, but is just looking "full". Currently, the bluetooth function of this phone is limited to handsfree set only, no data sending or receiving whatsoever, however you can use the infrared to send data, images, video's and mp3's to other devices.
Also the connection by usb cable to the pc will NOT WORK unless if you install the software (drivers) on you PC first.

hai, i'm belgian and i bought a few days ago my ot s853 and i tried to connect it with my pc. My pc supports bluetooth and he founded my s853 and i was sending a file from my pc to the phone and everytime the connection was broken. And then i tried usb-cable and it didn't work also, can anyone tell me what to do? thanks and sorry for spelling mistakes

Seems like you have to write your question here to get an answer. This is a question to someone with english firmware on the phone. Are you able to write special signs? Like letters from other languages? I´m swedish but I wont be able to get a swedish version of this phone. We have three other letters. a with a ring above, a with two dots above and o with to dots above. Can you write this on your phone?

The User guide says 3 hours, but mine was finish at 1 1/2 hours ;)
