2 quick questions of top of my head:

-can you access the msn messenger and use it on the iphone?

-the program which shows you the temperature. can you change it from Fahrenheit to Celsius?

i almost bought the phone today. it looks very intuitive indeed and easy to use. fun to use typa phone.

and for the sound volume. yes, i thought it was not too loud as i was in the mall and barely could hear it when trying.

          thanks.

Worst phone for returns in recent months, the early Nokia 6500 Slide (really poor design with the memory card dropping in and out and resetting the phone because of the backplate).

            They have improved recently.

Those who say that the keyboard is rubbish is a load of crap. It's actually very good and in a way you can type almost as fast as you can on a BlackBerry.

There's some really good technology behind it!

Oh wait. OH my god. I didn't realize this... but...

                    LoL

Apologies, I just realized with how people who complain about the keyboard don't really know how to speak english well! LoL

I see, that's why! Yeah, the intelligent keyboard pretty much works the best in English, otherwise it's really gonna suck. :)

Copy to SIM or sync with Outlook then transfer, easy as via iTunes.

                                  1) no way to mute a call; one must reject it or answer

Try pressing the volume switch = instant mute.

                                  2) touch screen makes it difficult to talk on phone without activating stray features & sounds. can not lock screen while talking

duh, WHY DOES IT HAVE A PROXIMITY sensor and pressing the top button locks it as well.

                                  3) can add number of text message to address book. must write number down with pen and pencil WTF

When you go into the text message, you see that field on the screen next to "Call" it's got "Add to Contacts" written on it, I wonder what touching that does?

                                  4) no way to edit number used in text message if one needs to add a 1, country code, change international access code etc. either write number down or add it to address book seems to be the only options

I thought you had to write it down to add it to contacts, you gotta love contradictions.

                                  5) one must complete text message prior to doing any other activity on phone or all work is lost.

Start writing text message, close using the single button at the bottom of phone, go do something else then go back to text messages.

Guess what you find there, it's the message you were writing and the text is exactly where you left off ready to continue.

                                  6) only one view of text messages. I real miss the ability to edit sent messages and send them to new person.

One out of six, meh this doesn't really bother me.

                                  7) typing is very difficult highly error prone.

With practice it becomes easy, the spell correcting dictionary can be annoying but can live with it.

                                  8) no way to insert curser inside a misspelled word. must retype entire word after attempting multiple times to get cursor close.

Touch the misspelled word and a magnifying glass pops up, slide your finger over the word until the cursor is exactly where you want it, make changes, there done.

                                  9) no ability to adjust font size.

Why would you need to they are easy enough to read, you can always switch to email and stretch the font as big as you want.

                                  10) massive amounts of wasted screen in viewing text messages.

Unless you've sent and received a few messages between you and someone else then you can read them all at once.

                                  11) safari browser insists on changing strings that I painfully type into search fields. "SFO" is a much better search string than "Ago". it refused to allow the string "SFO"; WTF

See the little box that comes up with "Ago", see the little cross in the corner, touch that and enter "SFO", there done.

                                  12) amazingly difficult to re-organize icons on main display

Hold them down until they wiggle, rearrange to your hearts content, I'm up to six screens of web short-cuts and App icons, which I've organised into various categories.

                                  13) no stylus. how and I supposed to type accuratly

With your fingers, if you really can't get by without a stylus they are available do a quick search of Ebay.

It's easier to lose a stylus than a finger.

                                  14) no replaceable battery. battery runs dry half way through flight across Pacific Ocean. now what

Buy an extra battery pack which plugs into the phone, there are some available which even include a flash for the camera, again check Ebay.

When the phone is in flight mode battery life is a lot longer.

                                  15) inadequate call volume

                                  wtf? are you deaf.

                                  16) no D pad, no yes/no buttons

Huh? Why do you need them those functions are covered by the touch screen.

                                  17) call log only has 2 views, all and missed. would like to see dialed numbers, received call logs also

At least they are easy to find, you can tell missed calls as they are the RED ones.

                                  18) too easy to delete numbers from logs, occurs with one wrong touch, no recovery available

If I touch "Clear" on my call logs (touch one) and a menu comes up with "Clear All Recents" or "Cancel"...

...but according to you they have already deleted on the first touch... what do I do???

                                  19) too easy to delete text messages, occurs with one wrong touch, no recovery available

                                  See above re: call records

                                  20) no flash in camera not allowing me to get picutes in low light situations

See above battery pack with flash available on ebay, kill two birds with one stone on those long haul flights.

                                  21) can not view content of contacts when adding additional detail. ie replacing +1 incoming international access code with 011 outgoing code requires pencil and paper.

Contact>Edit>Pick the one you want to change>Run your finger across the number... look at that, it's our old friend Mr Magnifying Glass, you may recall him from earlier on in this debunking, place the cursor where you want, change the number to whatever you want.

For someone who claims to have owned this phone for two months, you seem pretty slow on the uptake.

One more thing, nokia USA phones have heavy price tags. That's why it is rare to own one here in the US. Most common pda/smart phones are iphone, blackberries, motoral Q's.

Talk about living u... morethe iphone here in the US is too common since it is an american made. the US lags behind on high end phones. i believe the US is always behind on releasing them. whatever high end cell phones that Europe, Asia, and other continents and countries have the US don't carry yet, until the US market approve those devices. That's why the iphone is common here. So rare phones are amusing and appealing to the public becasue of the new look. the n95 was first released in other countries, then was released in the US by Nokia.
