I’m don’t get the fuss? Again!
- No navigation software, only Google Maps.
- Dismal camera features
- Disappointing battery life
- Counter-intuitive menus and settings
I thought the 2nd gen iPhone would be way better than that 1st brick. Seems like Apple are playing catch up! But they’re marketing is brilliant, and they know exactly how to keep bleeding money out of you.

the iPhone gives you more control on the view and makes browsing much faster. Being able to enlarge and decrease the screen with such ease is great! having control over the key board is also very useful. Changing to landscape as I am typing is helpful. The camera is not the best but is good enough for everyday use. The large screen makes movie and video watchaing awsome!! tapping and double taping to use the map is helpful when driving. This phone needs shortcut buttons and a dedicated camera button.

this is a very hightech phone with lowtech features.... it is a good music phone. not an all around phone. if ever they upgraded the camera, put in vide, 3g calling, mms, evrything coz' why are you going to sell something new without upgrading the most important features????
if i looked at it its like my money is used at a useless thing. IMHO

if your gonna get the iphone 3g, ur dumb. the reason is because the htc touch pro is amazingly better. it has accelerometer just like the iphone. It has the same stuff, and its beter. has a video camera, has auto focus and a 3.2 camera. it has amazingly better features.

Over hyped phone for what it actually is
got an iphone 3g as a birthday present, it's definantly the worst present i've ever had, a pair of socks would have been better than the iphone. In this day and age you would expect apple to actually put a better camera, mms and amongst other basic handset features into the iphone.
For the people keep comparing iphone to nokia, we all know which company and brand is the global market share leader by far......of course it can only be nokia
the iphone did impact the market, but this is just a consumer phase, just like camera phones were, people will soon get bored and go back to the brand they were using.

MAYANEGYPTIAN, 15 Jul 2008Poor camera (2mp)with no flash,
No video recording,
No ... morei am a proud owner of N95, got it probably two weeks after it hit the shelves, and am very pleased with it. I also have a BB curve 8310, and I am double pleased with it, as far as typing and mail management is concerned... i intend to keep both phones...
BUT..
I also intend to buy iphone 3g all the same.
All small talk below attacking or praising iphone is so stupid and even tiresome. Why compare it to other phones? Why so much energy is put in explainin iphone is not matching N95, or SE whatever number, or HTC Diamond, or Omina...?
As a BB and N95 owner, and a satisfied by both phones one, I immediately admit that I am aware that both phones are probably far better in operation than iphone. Still, I am buying iphone as it is DIFFERENT... in away which is truely APPEALING compared to other phones... no less, no more...
all i can say about apple is that in an environement where everything changes so FAST (image what phones were considered top-notch a couple of years ago), and people get so BORED with anything quite soon, providing something so DIFFERENT is a key to market success.
and all you (we) Nokia, HTC, SE, Samsung, etc, fans, should be quite thankful to apple, as their iphone put so much heat on other producers, that i expect we will see the best still coming...

"apple iphone is the only phone that makes nokia users bitter and say so many nasty words full of bitterness against this marvelous device."
yes, i notice the same. everywhere i go the most prominent anti-iPhone people are bitter Nokia users. are they upset because iPhone brought certain features and technological aspects to the forefront in ways Nokia has failed (like the App Store)?
i've never seen the Nokia people so disgruntled.

Poor camera (2mp)with no flash,
No video recording,
No office applications (Edit word, excel, ppt)
You can not share anythig through Bluetooth
It's sad how people only buy what tv and market tells them to buy... and never make a complete analysis of a device.
Im a proud user of The N95 8gb, the best all-in-one device. :)

It's pretty good at what it does... And glaringly deficient in what it doesn't. So, let's see, say compared to Samsung Omnia: This has 2mp camera (vs. 5mp), no fm radio, no a2dp, no video. But it does come back with a crisp screen (16M colors) and a great user experience. Hmmmm... Come on, Stevie, bring this to par and maybe all that hype will be justified. And oh, by the way, about this being not a dedicated camera and all that jazz, sounds too much like extolling a deficiency as a virtue, doesn't it? Just call a spade, a spade. It's hardware spec is 3 years old, no going around that.

apple iphone is the only phone that makes nokia users bitter and say so many nasty words full of bitterness against this marvelous device. they cant accept that iphone is the only phone that pushes incredible volume of sales in its first week. you have to wait even by the roadside and fall in a long line just to be able to be one of the first to lay hands on iphone!

What a big step backwards, how can you imagine such a claimed "state-of-the-art" phone can't support Bluetooth with A2DP !? Also very disappointed by the 2MP camera. Most of the competitors' PDA phone are equipped with over 3MP, some even have autofocus. I don't think it is time to get one, I guess an upgrade version of iPhone 3G shall come very soon.

great phone... not so great if ur with rogers...
even thou the price maybe as same as the states for the phone... the data and the voice plan service by rogers suck... LEADS TO... not being able to use the phone to its best ability...
IF UR PLANNING TO USE THE PHONE WITHOUT A DATA... get some other touch screen... phone is not worth it... battery life is SO-SO...on 3g its crap...
5 OUT OF 5 for the phone...
2 OUT OF 5 if ur using on rogers
1 OUT OF 5 if ur using without DATA

How much RAM does this have after start-up? And can it multitask? Like run 5 different applications at once?
