The iPhone 3GS is capable of playing 1080... moreThat is NOT REAL HD or in native resolution because icrap phone screen is 16:9 and ppi is actually lower than the standard HD video resolution support (720p or 1080p) if you peasize brain can simply comprehend it, lol.

On to other things, according to Canalys iPhones outsold ALL windows Mobile devices combined AND you can add Palm Pre sales as well and iPhone's still outsold them.

Also it is just another hype because Apple is afraid of the soon to lose war with MicroSoft's coming Zune HD that CAN play real HD video in NATIVE 720p resolution. And the next windows mobile 7 version is specifically tweaked for Zune HD's sweet fluid like UI. So I am sticking to winmo, android or the soon to be verified maemo OS. iphone OS will be playing catch up in the next coming years, lol.

Ditto. Just another hype to keep iphone fanboys hope(less) a bit more until the truth comes out: NO IT CAN NOT PLAY REAL HD video because of those fore mentioned statements. AGAIN no HD screen (and worse not even have the awesome AMOLED high resolution screen like Omnia II or HD), slower CPU (vs. 800MHz from Omnia phones) and a sucky bad battery that can NOT be REPLACED, hahaha.
Just another hype like when I called H.Q Apple technical support here locally in California, when the very first iphone just came out about if it had video and real voice guidance turn by turn GPS, he said there WILL be a software update by the end of the year '07, guess what? a FULL two years had gone by and it took THREE generation of icrap iphone to just have an expensive "me-also-run" video and GPS features, PATHETIC!

Macs does multitasking, so of course the iphone can multitask as well. It was a deliberate decision by Apple to only select apps than can run simultaneously on the iphone for practical reasons. The iphone's UI allows its users to switch apps intuitively as if it's multitasking, but without using extra battery power. I think that's a very practical and sensible approach.

And please, don't call the OSX the most advanced OS, you haven't even tried Maemo. OSX is incapable of multi-tasking!!!

I wont suggest the 3gs, as it's just doing the same old stuff that almost every smart phone has, and nothing really suprised, especially when they ask people to join a 24m contract.

And hello, 3gs is not the last iphone produced by Apple. Apple is not sleeping either. Remember that OSX is the most advanced mobile OS, by the time the N900 gets released, iphone 4g would just be right at the corner to be released as well w/ more power than the 3gs. So think twice my dear :)

iphone 3gs is quite possibly the best phone ive ever had, its quick its fun and super user friendly. the only letdown is the overall size, which personally i dont mind, and the battery life, i know i may abuse my applications at times and use my phone a lot but still youd expect them to last a little longer than 12 hours :P all in all imo, great phone.
