Replaced my iPhone 4 for the Samsung Galaxy...I definitely made the right choice.
- Widget customization
- No signal problems (so no need for a bumper case)
- I can use my phone as a wireless hot spot WOW
- Better notification system
- Expandable memory (up to 32GB). That's on top of my inbuilt 16GB
- No iTunes dependency. With an app, I can even sync my Galaxy to iTunes.
- No MicroSim needed.
- Cheaper than my iPhone 4
- Super AMOLED screen actually does look better because of the deep contrast, with less battery life used.
- Google Sky Track is my favorite application
- I can make video calls over 3G and it's not limited to iPhone 4s.
Sorry Apple, you guys are on borrowed time. I've already made the switch, and so will millions more.

Look y'all, I understand that there are annoying Apple haters out there, and equally annoying Apple lovers out there. I'm just trying to get some straight up feedback from iPhone 4 users about the reception issues without all the other BS. Do any current iPhone users out there notice major issues? Thanks.

Anonymous, 16 Jul 2010Ahh, the first one after the conference, I was wondering wh... moreTotally agree with you there, even though am not an iphone user I still recognise the part that this phone has played in getting all these other companies up to speed with mobile phone technology, hell! Symbian fans still think that Symbian OS is cutting age technology yet if you see it running on the N97 it leaves you wondering just where the hell Nokia have been.
All Nokia fanboys can talk about is the N8 even though they have not even had shot at it. I've seen quite a few videos up on line some I'll admit look pretty impressive but I have also seen what looks to be common problems in the current Nokia S^1 phones the dreaded "memory full" message, still prominent in the N97 even after all the updates it's received so far which tells me that this is one problem that Nokia phones on Symbian will always suffer from especially with them not wanting to add more RAM. So for that I'll not look at a Nokia phone till they get serious about competing in the high end sector.
Android OS is doing good things, which can only mean one thing, we the end users get to have a wide variety to choose from.
All this hate for the Iphone really amuses me coz it's like anyone one who buys the iphone has been brain washed by Jobs, what a load of tosh! My girlfriend has never even heard of Steve Jobs yet she rocks an Iphone.
0.55% of over 3 million buyers have complained about the signal, this ain't nothing but media hype coz if this was a real big problem there would have been more complaints.
Thank Fook for the Iphone otherwise Symbian OS would have been the best OS "that thought actually scares me"

So, Free "Not APPLE Bumper" Covers. (And we all know-hopefully all- apple loves using non apple brands on their goods!)
Software update For Proximity Sensor.
Then what happens about the fact that there was a few issues about phones burning out? Does it still mean it is worth to re-buy or keeping the iPhone4 ????
Or is it worth the wait of another year for a better -hope to be- iPhone 2011 ?

I don't have no problem with my iPhone 4. I don't know why people you don't even have the iPhone 4 and those morons exaggerating negatively about Antenna issues. Return your iPhone 4 back for a refund and stop complaining. Apple is not begging you guys to buy their iPhone 4.

Anonymous, 16 Jul 2010Ahh, the first one after the conference, I was wondering wh... moreI couldn't agree with you more well said :-) You are always going to get haters on here trying to put people off and most of them don't have any technical knowledge at all when it comes to the Iphone4.
If you don't like the h/set don't get it it's as simple as that.
Iphone will continue to sell bucket loads no matter what, Iphone4 is here to stay and this is my view there's nothing that can't compete with the iphone4 or the 3gs.
Haters you guys need to grow up and get a life because you sounding like parrets

Blastic Bumper, 16 Jul 2010Dear friend, you and Stevey seems living in the coco land, ... moreAhh, the first one after the conference, I was wondering where you guys went. Probably had to do a lil Android huddle, consoling each other, then had to come up with a new plan.
1. I am not your friend.
2. Bumper not compulsory, only for people who want it.
3. Antenna attenuation is a problem that exists in most phones. In iPhone 4 case, it affects too few people, overblown story. And even if it affects you, you can return, refund, swap, put a case, don't put a case etc. Plenty of options. Nobody forcing anyone to use. Nobody forcing people to buy even, yet 3 million people did. I wonder why? Only people intent on forcing these days I notice are the anti-Apple folk, trying so hard to convince people against iPhone without any success.
4. You Apple haters like to laugh a lot, seems like you are happy, yet you can't seem to let others be happy with their choice.
5. Steve Jobs is a billionaire. Does it matter if he has a job or not?
6. The 400,000 figure is a blatant lie and you have been reported.
Good day.

Anonymous, 16 Jul 2010Amazing company. There is no antenna problem with iPhone, w... moreDear friend, you and Stevey seems living in the coco land, you think they did conference they release magic software and the problem gone away? this problem is hardware issue, the software may make it look better for you to look at it, but underliying problem still there. I laugh my head off when steve was down playing this and saying he had 5000 email from people who are so happy using this phone, made me wonder how many emails he had from un happy customers. You pick every single iphone and test this , the problem is there, and denying it doesn't make it go away. Why people should but bumper on brand new phone? you just being brain wash by this people and its sad. just accept the reality, and get on with it. iphone has a serious antena problem and there are over 400,000 people got affected by it already, those at least willing to confess to it.
so weak up and look what expert say not what Steve jobs say to keep his jobs and his holiday in Hawaii, made me wonder how long he would have a job. This conference was a pure comedy to watch.

Amazing company. There is no antenna problem with iPhone, which is soo different from other phones. As suspected GSMArena readers, just some anti iPhone propaganda by Apple hatred. DESPITE that, Apple still offering full refund and free case.
Apple hatred, you had your 22 days of fun but will probably look a bit foolish after this if you continue with the antenna rant. Already the loser below has shifted to the old Bluetooth issue lol. Desperate.

The new update is great, 5 bars full signal even in the low signal areas or previously no signal zones. Because ALL Iphones miss calculated all the signal showing say, 1-2 bars when it should be 5 I have no issues with this.
Remember what Steve Jobs said, Hardware takes time to "settle in" because its cold has to warm up. So the external dual antenna should improve with time and firmware updates boosting its power output. Once its burned-in it can only improve.
Only Android fanboys say the phone needs a recall. No all android devices need a recall as just all copies of the iphone
