I did a little test today: where Iphone4 users sit in one room, and HTC Desire users in another. After an hour of using each phone, I loved the result, because after doing this with my friends and some randoms, who have never held a Desire OR an iphone4 in their hands - guess who the winner was?
If you guessed iphone, you are wrong.
Overall, the HTC was found to be more comfortable to hold, had a nicer screen and the UI was more fun to use.
Also, the test was not biased to either phone, A lot of people liked the iphone, but preferred the HTC because it had some innovation.
As I keep reading below in this post, people just 'jump' onto the Apple bandwagon because of the shiny label. Although I hold nothing against the Iphone 4, I shall still say that there are 'BETTER' phones out there.
Because of this little test I ran, I actually went out an bought myself a HTC. My past experiences with the drab and boring UI of the iphone, iphone 3G and iphone3Gs have left me scratching my head as to why apple has only added a few teeny little features to this. Although all phones have their faults, I'd say - based on what I have read and what I have proved today, that apple has made just another product simply designed to attract more people to the 'bandwagon' I was referring to earlier.
Open your eyes and look past the showiness of the iphone please.

I got the Iphone4 and it's totally amazing, The signal problem others are having hasn't happened effected me.
It's the best h/set in the world there's nothing that comes close trust me.
I've had lots of h/sets and nothings come close to even the iphone3g so no chance of anything close to the Iphone4
You are bound to get haters trying there best to come on the iphone forum and do there best to try to get you good guys not to buy the Iphone4 with there silly mind games and comments but you look at how many people have the wonderful h/set it's already sold millions already.
Guys go into the apple store and play with the h/set yourself and see if for yourself.
Ignore anyone else go with what you think :-)

IPhone 4's ANTENNA IS NOT A DESIGN FLAW!
It just that it hasn't evolved yet. If there is a designer of it's antenna, he must be stupid. So, we can conclude that it has no designer. Given enough time, it will be be ok by then.

Many IPhone users I know personally bought the phone coz either its the only phone they know to be multi touch, and/or surf the web, and/or its posh and/or they just love the "brand". Not because they were able to compared it with the features of other brands/models nor done any research.
It's a fact that it sold millions. I don't contest that. Those who have apple stocks or sell apple accessories are obviously the one that will most benefit it. But the common users? A Bandwagon Effect.
I respect if all those user's enjoy the phone. Some may really suit their needs. But to many, it's still a bandwagon effect. It's a great phone I agree. but not the best.

Oh noooo! I'm starting to like the thought of the iphone4!
It is lacking some features and is over priced when bought on contract but i'm tempted to buy from tesco for £479.

I just bought the iphone4.
Nice shape and looks elegant the the previous model
But When make calls , it will cut off when i started to grabbed the base. When you just cover the base , the signal is gone....like magic......X%#$&*#.......

Everyone should get one. Already bought 2 of these and also have also a samsung h1 which i'm using only for listening to music and watching Divx movies on it.
Both have great Display.

iPhone - Greate touch experience in all the functions of the phone and user interface on the phone is very smooth just like silk.
Nokia - Got great features (much more when compared to any iPhone till date) full multitasking.
BUT.
Slow processors, low RAM, and mediocre touch experience even with latest update. User experience? BAD.
Samsung - Quickly catching up on touch, are much smarter phones (those having Android). Even cheaper phones like corby have better touch than Nokia N900. Trust me.
iPhone is delight to use. iTunes sucks. But so many developers develop for it. May be due to lack of some smart platform (Symbian?? and body?).
But now Android had given developers the option.
Fingers crossed.
I want affordable full featured phones with Android.

As previously reported, AT&T retail stores were unable to offer walk-in sales of the iPhone 4 until today (June 29th). Starting at 7am, customers should (theoretically) be able to walk into local retail AT&T stores to purchase the iPhone 4. Lines, however, have already started forming at AT&T stores across the country. 20 people have been reported at one AT&T store in Las Vegas, and a quick twitter search shows more people waiting across the country.
If you aren't willing to wait in line (again), AT&T has also updated their website and is now offering online ordering.
Yesterday, Apple announced that over 1.7 million iPhone 4s sold in the first three days on sale, making it the most successful launch in Apple's history.

A waaa-aaay higher resolution screen.
It doesn't have an old OS that's like DOS.
You can buy it NOW, not at some vague indeterminate point in the future.
The N8 will fail, just like the N96 and the N97, move along from Nokia, no iPhone killers there.

If you want to see real multitasking then go and brought Nokia E63. The best mobile ever in mobile history. I can use three browers at the same time can Iphone 4 do that?
