Ok i am going to be really honest...
Before i got my first iphone, my thoughts were quite typical i.e no bluetooth, no video recording and other crap
But when i began to use it i said damn, the OS of this phone rules especially in comparison to Symbian
Because it was so easy to gain root access, hack into it, install tweaks etc and the games just blew me away.And for those who think you cant use bluetooth to transfer files on an iphone... Trust me your wrong and you can use it but for that you need to use your brain and install an app.
At the sametime there is no doubt that apple is ripping off its customers and 1.7 million! WHAT THE HELL! FOR A PHONE THAT SUPPORTS MICRO SIMS ONLY AND HAS A WEAKER RECEPTION!!! Hell yeah the 3gs was alot better and OS 4.0 is nothing compared to OS 3.1.2/3 Jailbroken + Tweaked!
And in the end, its not about the phone its about the OS and how capable the OS of the phone is... And if your really that worried about the camera in your mobile, why dont you actually buy a real camera?

I have been using the iphone 4 now for 5 days. just to let you all know l am a big fan of Apple, but now l hate them after l just wasted $1000 dollars on a phone that l can hardley make a call on. Rubbish

Everyone should get one. Already bought 2 of these and also have also a samsung h1 which i'm using only for listening to music and watching Divx movies on it.
Both have great Display.
Not as the iphone....

Hey iphone users. My friend and i have come up with an easy fix for your antenna issues. Its simple.
When you wan't to make a call, place your iphone in your left hand, a frying pan in your right hand and a 9volt battery in your mouth. You'ld experience no call drop and have full bars. Peace. Lol.
All phones experience drop in reception when held in certain ways but the question is, how much does the signal drop? I can't seem to get one bar to drop off my nokia e72 nomatter how i hold it!

i suppose no one will tell if they don't like the phone. the reason is that they spend a lot of money to buy it, they always exagerate when talking about their phones over the options that it should have, less expensive phones have more options than this one. Admitting this will prove that they made a fool of themselves in buying this phone

Just like what Steve said, that is just a fact of life in cellphone technology. It's just that, issues get exaggerated when it's about the iphone. Some are possibly even arguing, without even owning an iPhone or the phone they are defending, possibly because they still need their parents to buy a mobile phone for them.

It's the manufacturers and telcos which gets undeservingly rich with all these head-banging amongst ourselves... not to mention free ads for them. Everbody is paying for their own phone not otherwise. Though I never own any Apple products, price aside, Iphone is a good phone. It may not have everything nor a technologically breakthrough unit.. so does other brands. Personally I've used many different models and make. All of them have their shortfalls. The best phone I've used was actually the very old Ericsson model back in mid 1990s. Phones of those era maybe bulky but they performed to expectations.. no signal issue and very durable."

i had no idea that the reception problem could be an iOS4 problem so i decided to try out (on my 3GS) this so called "death grip" and guess what.. my reception does go down -_-. anyone else having this problem? anyone got any idea if there is a software update yet that fixes this problem?
