Anonymous, 15 Jun 2010Yaaa ur right !! Apple didn't include Symbian in the pie ch... moreHey i did that previously by dumping my Iphone 3G for a nokia 5800 & then N97mini....
But now am back to Iphone 3GS, tell you honestly why I'm back...
NOKIA hangs every other day....no wonder they have a NOKIA care centre all over the place & it's always crowded....
It's true the N8 specs looks great but whether its gonna be another poor performance handset...only can tell after using it...
Iphone despite lacking some features but it is able to perform its job well as a basic phone at the very least...after using so many NOKIA models from 3series, 6 series, 7 series & N series...there is a similarity in all NOKIA....it HANGS :( moreover, i've spent tons of money on NOKIA...always getting the latest model when the moment it's launched @ RRP.
For N8, i will not do so anymore...i'll wait for my friends to try it out :)
Another thing about the NOKIA models i used, can't even see the wonderful screen when I'm outside under hot sun....gotta go to some shady area to continue texting....what's up with that???

To the person bragging about samsung's super amoled display. Here's what phone arena has to say on their review of it.
"The resolution is 480x800 pixels - very good for this screen size, although things do not appear crystal clear.. For example, texts have an obvious pixelization to them, and you might also experience some not very accurate color representation."
Take note of "obvious pixelization". Something that's virtually non-existent on the iphone4's retina display. And here's another.
"When indoors, the Super AMOLED provides a lot more clarity and saturation, while its viewing angle is incomparably wider. The Wave is indeed quite usable when outdoors, but still the iPhone 3G demonstrated its supremacy here."
Take note. The reviewer is comparing its screen with the iphone 3g (released 2008), not iphone4. How much more if they compared it to the iphone4 where clarity, saturation and viewing angle have been dramatically improved. I can confidently say that the iphone4 would still have better outdoor visibility. Although by no means I'm saying that the samsung's super amoled display is inferior. It's obviously a brilliant display as well. Especially its contrast ratio and rendering of deep blacks. I'm just making a point to that samsung fanatic, not to make premature judgements.

They have FM on the |pod Nano but the couldn't get it on the Iphone... How stupid do they think we are? Apple just want's people to buy both products.
I would rather have it as "thick" as the 3gs but with an FM.

Jeve Stobs, 15 Jun 2010The fact that the biggest feature that iPhone 4 released wa... moreThose features are indeed new, to the iphone. We know that other phones already have those features, but we patiently waited for the iphone because like I said, we knoe thatvit will be effectively implemented.
Its UI is one of the main reasons why iphone users love their iphones. It's simple, and apps are easily accessed. So why change it? It has a smart way of multitasking that saves battery power, it knows which apps truly need to run in the background, and which ones need only to be suspended in the background. Other multitasking phone will keeps all apps running in the background because it is not able to identify which apps can be suspended and which ones should continue running in the background.
Steve Jobs had a liver transplant. Something that no one should make fun of. Just shows what kind of character a person you are. Not a good one. I hope you, or a loved one of yours get cancer or cirrhosis of the liver. Maybe then you'll learn to be more sensitive towards other people who survived a disease.

Bhupin, 15 Jun 2010if apple lists bluetooth file tranfer as a major fea... moreNo one is hailing Apple as the pioneer on anything, so stop it. We just like their implementation of features. It's friendlier than other devices. It doesn't work for everyone, but to a lot of us, it does. But why hate it? It's because it's a very successful and popular device.

JVC, 15 Jun 2010Your defending Apple as if it was your mother, you probably... moreAnd you're attacking Apple as if they killed your mother, lol. Symbian was in their chart. It's included in the "others". That chart is about data usage in the US. If you do not agree with that chart, then show us a US data usage chart from a reputable source. There's actually one here in GSM Arena. Look for that one and let's see if there's any difference. If the n8 proves to be the better phone, then you have nothing to be jealous or insecure about. The n8 will sell itself just like the n95 did. No need to hate.

The fact that the biggest feature that iPhone 4 released was video calling, (Wi-Fi only), & a higher res. display is simply proof that Apple could release ANYTHING they want as a feature, tell the consumer that it's "new", & people will eat it up.
The UI is stale now, & the new OS4 upgrade doesn't even offer "true" multi-tasking. Why are people so enamored with this device? When you factor in the price to features ratio, there are at least 20 different devices that do what the iPhone does, but do it much better, while saving the consumer hundreds of dollars.
I have an upgrade coming with AT&T in August, & I cannot wait for one of you crazed, myopic fanboys to buy my $199.00 upgrade for $600.00+!!...LMAO
BTW...is it me, or does Steve Jobs look like he has AIDS?

[deleted post]Your defending Apple as if it was your mother, you probably have all their products that's why, the guy is right Symbian wasn't in their chart, and people just buy what you like don't make a big deal out of it like Mr.lol here, but no company comes close Nokia in connectivity that's my opinion and who disagrees didn't use Nokia's smart phones (in terms of signal, battery life, compatibility, Better OS in Symbian ^3 probably, and eveything else is balanced) unlike other brands which miss out or act poorly in other functions.
