I came from an iPhone X to this and this is my initial impression.
What I love about XR:
Battery life. 100% better than my X!
Greatly improved camera! Smart HDR is a massive plus both in camera and video recording! I didn't even miss the telephoto lens on my X!
Coming from a SuperAMOLED screen phone, I can't see much of a difference between LCD and AMOLED with my naked eye. Except for the black. Not so deep black but barely noticeable or unless you compare it side by side with X/XS.
Perfect size! Not too small nor big.
What I miss on on XR coming from an X user:
SuperAMOLED screen
3D Touch. I used it mainly on settings. (Wifi/Mobile Data shortcut). But Im getting used to it without the 3D Touch because we have haptic touch.
Slimmer bezels which makes the X/XS look more premium than the XR.
Stainless steel vs Aluminum: Neutral. Either way both looks and feels premium!
Performance, and Face ID is a tad bit faster on XR's A12 Bionic chip but you cant really notice the difference. Overall, I'm satisfied with my XR! At first Im missing the AMOLED screen and 3D touch but then I got used to it :)

If someone above 15 says it'... moreWell it is not heavy, more like cumbersome to walk with wide and thick phones in your pocket, try carrying a samsung J8 with a case on it, then you'd understand what i'm saying. Without the case, it becomes so much more mobile

I complained about the iP Xr size and weight. But I bought it. I miss 3D Touch. But it’s my first iPhone with decent battery life. I’m getting 2 days with moderate use. The screen is fantastic outdoors. The cameras are very good. Please the next year bring a smaller and lighter iPhone.

Hello everyone.
I am an android user and thinking to switch to iPhone.. iphone XR is the phone i liked the most among all 3 latest models.
I am in Pakistan and few of the shopkeeper tell me not to go for iPhone XR, rather go for XS to be future-proof.
Coz in Pakistan (infact in the rest of the world) XR is not selling good and iphone XR is expected to be discontinued by September 2019 and will give me huge financial loss if i sell it after a year.
I dnt wanna spend those 300 extra bucks.. thats too much. I mean 1000 bucks phone... i am hell confused. I dnt want ip8 or ip8+ either coz new ones look cooler and updated.
What shall i do

Funny how now that the fandroids have left this comment section, real owners start to tell how happy they are with this phone. I think this is great and will be even better if they keep it for 2 years and always lower the price like they did with SE. Then this phone will be a perfect budget option from next year.

It's been a week now since I purchased this phone and I must say it performs well. I read all the reviews and learned that this has ALMOST the same features as the XS and is cheaper as well. As per the battery, it works fine. I plug it on my laptop and I noticed it charged faster. Or idk, just my observation. All in all, I loved it. A super upgrade since my iPhone6s. :)

Which is one better, IPHONE 8+ or IPHONE XR?
And which one has better camera?
What i like about the Iphone 8+ is dual camera. Portrait mode. I have been an android user for a long time now and i want to try IPHONE. Thank you. Hope to get honest answers from people with the handsets themselves or have better understanding on this units. Thank u.

Gotta pay attention to compatibility too.
My iPhone 6 uses nano sim whereby the XR specs say that's compatible....time to call Apple to straighten this out .
