The screen wasn’t as bad as many said. Got my XR a few days ago and it was a fresh design from my previous 7plus . If I want a very good screen viewing I might as well get a good HD TV , XS and axS max price point are way too pricy . Had used android since the cupcake version came out and still there are some stuffs apple does better , and it more secure when comes to personal data . Overall am happy with my purchase .

No they don't use the same screen. Mate 20 screen is half an inch bigger diagonally than Xr' 6.1" screen. In addition to this, Mate 20 sacrifices symmetry for narrower side bezels. These two combined make for a better screen-to-body ratio than Xr.
As you already know, Apple was never known for being a screen-to-body champ. Why? Because, Apple is reluctant in making high screen-to-body ratio because they praise visual look more than functionality or practicality.

For the same. IPS screen.
That means there is a scope to expand more..but Apple don't..... May be after 3 years they will do it.. Fanboys call it amazing feat done by Apple..... With such a price tag.

why Apple is unable to extend the edges of the LCD display closer to the edges of the phone, just like its competitors are doing, example Huawei. Can this be the reason as to why XR does not sell as well as Apple projected.

Apple grand achievement was symmetry, but the paradox with X iPhone series is that their bottom bezel is narrower than any other phone, while their side bezels are thicker than most other competitors. This makes these iPhones wider than other phones although they have taller screen ratio.
As for the Xr, that is hated globally for no reason, to me it is an achievement on its own. Making an LCD screen with such narrow bottom bezel is quite difficult, it is quite nice screen too, low pixel density aside.

The XR for example has even bigger bezels than the Nokia 5.1 plus which is only 150 euro. The iPhone X has thicker bezels than the Galaxy S8 because of this symmetry. Personally I like the design of the X series, apart from the notch, but it comes with a sacrifice; thicker bezels and a lower screen to body ratio.

This is quite attractive to me, I could complain about pixel density as everyone is doing but I believe is much more appealing to have a screen with low PPI rather than having a 4K screen with color shift value of 10, hard to see outdoors etc. Is it that much of a problem having a 326PPI screen iPhone which Apple offer as a "cheap" alternative to an OLED money-wiping iPhone duo? What do you mind more: having to buy a "cheap" iPhone (I say this because this situation is rare in Apple world, as iPhone buyers tend to buy the best and the priciest Apple offer), or having to buy a low density screen iPhone?

So which areas of the display match each other? And what is attractive about a cheap LCD display with an ugly notch? This device was supposed to be the bread and butter of Apple's 2018 lineup, instead it's falling 25% short of sales projections. So much so Apple decided to stop reporting unit sales, outsourcing vendors had to cut production and Apple's stock price is getting slammed.

This morning I was at an AT&T store comparing the IPhone XR with the XS and the XS Max, it’s not bad at all, it is a 720p display but it is sharp and bright. Considering it has the same Chipset, CPU and GPU of the XS and XS Max, it is a fair option if you don’t want to spend over $1000 in an iPhone.

It's funny why reviewers and others from tech community are considering this a bad display. This is pretty much the same display as the iphone 8, just a little bigger in size. From the reviews it almost sounded like we would be able to see individual pixels like a supermario game but the display is actually very decent, though the phone is costly overall. Hopefully the price dips a bit in coming months with better deals and the package will be worth it for those who want an iphone.
