Thx for ur reply. Unfortunately, the issue seems intermittent. I tried connecting the fone to my work system and when it acts as a card reader, the inbox opens!

    WinMo is complex :D

Anyways, i guess i lost all the msgs when it was uninitialized. Strange indeed!

ps.: i still have poor battery life. no tweaking has yielded adequate results. It still doesnt last the entire day, and the screen still keeps on in low intensity. though i use BlackMe, when a sms comes, the screen glows back again.

              Hey guys...

Strange problem popped up today... It is just that - My inbox is just not opening!!

When i click on it, nothing happens. tried several resets, no use. i see that the cemail.vol is last accessed yesterday. I have tried renaming it and back to the original name, but again no use.

There are no alerts for incoming msgs, and i cannot even open my inbox.

              Any words of wisdom/suggestions?

I have tried tethering my laptop to the phone, using it as a modem and accessing the internet through Airtel.

It has worked very well, only keep in mind the battery loss and data rates, and that ur session will be disconnected if u get any msgs/calls.

My laptop runs vista. goto programs --> internet sharing. Here, connect with bluetooth PAN, and then in the Laptop, enable internet via phone. (the instructions will appear on the phone).

Now the connection is established, and u may now open the browser and start surfing.

has anyone used the phone to connect to the net on their laptops. mine only recognized the bluetooth modem. though it connects initially, disconnects soon after. guess there's a small setting i'v forgotten. What I can't find though is if it has a USB modem.

I set my GPRS connection as priority but when I have an active Wifi connection, GPS catcher uses that automatically and doesn't dial GPRS too. Furthermore, when I connect the phone through ActiveSync than I have internet on the phone through that ActiveSync.
I think somewhere is a setting to enable internet connection through the PC you are connected to.

My battery lasts for about 2 days if I don't connect it to the PC in the meantime. Most other Windows Mobile phones last even less:

I know only of the HTC P3600 to last longer, it has a bigger battery.

cam is good for outdoor but not for indoor, every time one has to auto edit the photo.some of the s/w like tcpmp, dictioneries fails to install for low starage mem. though gps updated thro pc it automatically connects gprs for update everyday even setting is set for reminder only. battery is draining fast and have to charge every day.used for almost 3 months but no improvment in its capacity.
