Great performance for the cheapest type of Zenfone 2. There's only one thing that I hate, it's only support for single SIM :(

Just bought Zenfone 2 Laser, faced same problem. Black screen when calling, can't cut the call or back to main screen unless restart the phone. After read some reviews, I've found 3 solutions:
1. Factory Reset
Not an option for most people who used their phone for few months, coz this will cost u reset all settings also clear all apps & phone memories. But my phone's new, so for me it's ok to do this. Hehe...
Settings 》Backup & Reset 》Factory Reset
At 1st i do factory reset, it took awhile. During waiting, i've found 2nd solution.
2. Remove Screen Protector
If u found/bought any ASUS accessories, defenitely not from ASUS, coz they dont made any accessories for their phone. That's why only got a phone & a charger in the box, no handsfree whatsoever. Quite hard to get the casing or screen protector here around me.
Especially those who r using tempered glass or very thick screen protector. Who made that screen protector, i think they r not considered the Sensor (as Samsung named Proximity Sensor, so u know the functions right?).
When u face the screen, can see the sensor located at above right side, just parallel to front camera lense, it's a tiny circle very near beside the call receiver. This sensor is too sensitive & hard to see.
In my case, I bought a screen protector, not tempered glass i think, but quite thick & quite cheap (no wonder i'm facing this problem. LOL). After trial & error, i've found out that the screen protector covering the sensor & front camera.
It had a hole but for LED Indicator (an oval shape located at above left side). Maybe who made that screen protector, they mistakenly the indicator as sensor (that's my assumption).
Some review suggest to cut the screen protector. Cut until just right below the ASUS logo. So the screen protector covered exactly the screen only. But i'm too lazy to do that plus the screen protector quite thick. So i just removed it (coz i've full covered casing. Finally. Luckily).
Then here come the 3rd solution, i've found after i've done factory reset & removed screen protector.
3. Turn Off The Sensor
Some review suggest to turn off the sensor, just like Samsung can turn on/off the proximity sensor anytime. But the problem is, i couldn't find the setting. Maybe don't have or maybe it's in different name or setting. Maybe, i'm not sure about this.
Good news, my problem solved (YEAH). I'm not sure which solution solved it coz i've done 1st & 2nd solutions simultaneously. But who cares. BYE2 & GOOD LUCK

Meme, 21 Dec 2015I removed the battery from the phone. Then, I put everythin... moreHi! Please check your screen guard / tempered glass if it is blocking the proximity sensor. I got mine fixed by adjusting the screen guard and not let it block the proximity sensor.

DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE. I made a mistake of buying it and now I'm paying the price. This particular model has some kind of fault and looses signal at the most random moments. The funny thing is, when you send it to get serviced, which I did, it comes back without any fault to it found, because most of the time it works fine (emphasis on MOST). The problem is, the phone is wired to use 4g and as soon as it looses the signal, if it doesn't make the transit to 3g, it completely looses network. I have tried turning 4g off manually, but the problem still persisted. I have read that this is a common issues with this model, so now since I can't get the store to give me back the money since the service they send it to can't seem to establish anything wrong with it, like many other 500 CL users, I am stuck with a phone that doesn't have the basic function of making RELIABLE telephone calls.
