Great specs. But after having a Zenfone for a year and with the new zenfone 3 about to come out I really felt the obligation to warn people about things I never considered before buying it...
1- The WORST customer support I have ever come into contact with. Ever. This isn't based on one experience either. Ive had to deal with them several times. They are incompetent and a bunch of liars. This point is shared by many users on the internet (just do some research if you don't believe me). So why does this matter?..
2- You will have some sort of technical problems with this phone eventually. Most likely the screen will begin to freeze or show lines. This is a known problem with this phone. Again. Do the research and see how many ppl are complaining. If ASUS was a good company this wouldn't be such an issue but...
3-Replacing the device is a straight up nightmare. Took me 3 months to finally get a refurbished product. Plus several hours of chasing these morons to find up what's taking so long. Their answers are mostly lies so this will be one of the most frustrating experiences for you.
4- You will never get an update. I can promise you that. This may not matter to you but it does to many phone consumers so I felt the need to say it. They started by lying to us that a 5.1 update was "soon" coming to the device. A year and a half later they are saying the 6.0 update will soon be coming to the device. We never got 5.1 and when you realize what a bunch of liars this company is made up of you will know that there is no 6.0 update either. Nougat is around the corner so the fact that zenfone users are still naively waiting for a 6.0 update from a company who has basically just dropped them once they bought the phone...well it's just wrong.
This will be my last ASUS product ever. I know they make solid computers but I'm just so disgusted with this company I will never buy from them again.

Don't buy any Asus ZenFone I am ZenFone 2 551ml 4gb RAM 64gb rom user,
1).They are a layer company ,they don't give us Marshmallow 6.0 till now.
2).This ZenFone 2 4gb RAM 64gb rom is their flagship product, they don't care about this product many many bugs have this phone.
3). First thing is mobile networks,the mobile network is horrible ,maximum time network not found both SIM,and network signal is very very poor.
3).They give us many updates but Actually battery life is not improve.
4). Voice calls listing quality is not good.
5).NFC and automatic brightness is not working perfectly.

It's full of complaints, especially regarding the battery.
The assistance is also not good. My phone is still under the 24 months pick-up & return warranty, but they wanted me to accept to pay 35 Euros + taxes and shipping if, for some reason, they don't discover the reported issues.
Buy something else, with lower specifications, but better durability and assistance in case of fault.

Hey guys! Quick question!
I can buy this phone today here in Portugal at a discount price of 255 euros which is around 218 british pounds or 290 dollars or 19300 indian rupee
At this price range I don't think I can find a better phone with all these specs...
4GB ram, 403 ppi, gorilla glass 3, 13mp rear, 5mp front, 5.5 inch display, etc...
I am aware that it still hasn't recieved marshmallow update and we really don't know when it will be available for the ze551ml but I don't think it matters really with all those specs...
Do you advise me another phone for this price? I think this discount price is amazing for this phone at the moment where I live, give me your opinions please

Do NOT buy this phone. It didn't have big issues at first, but now the phone shutdowns when the battery is between 20-40%. Asus has done nothing to solve this issue so far.

The battery is bad in this phone.In near future i am sure you will not be able to charge your phone completely. Initially i faced the same issue that you had been facing now a days and after some days of facing this kind of issue, i am unable to charge it completely to 100 percent.Its charges only till 40 % if i charge it for 12 hr.

Dont buy this disgusting phone.It has a lots of problems related to battery.The phone is fully dependent on its so cold asus application which drains the battery so quickly.
