just bought the phone..the batt keep on draining i was not able to use it.it keeps on heating for no reason.please help what should i do?

Try the following steps for saving Battery :
1. Enable “Power saver” (Settings > Power management)
2. Close apps that are not used (Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, etc.)
3. Adjust sleep time and brightness (Settings > Display)
4. Boost memory when you see memory consumes is high with no app running,
5. check for background running applications, stop/disable unwanted apps, you can manage apps from auto-start manager.
6. check for latest ZenUI/3rd party Apps update.

Try the following steps :
1. Enable Dial Pad Tones from Sound & Call settings
2. Make sure your device is on the latest firmware version
3. Wipe cache partition
4. Test Hardware of your device :
How to Enter SMMI_TEST (test hardware)
Go to Calculator=>type " .12345+= "
you will be entered to SMMI_TEST

I had been using this phone from May 2015. The features of this is phone is too good and I like it most for the price paid. But recently for almost nearly to a month, i am not able to hear the voice from other person (nor he does) when making the calls. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. When it works also sometimes it goes silent and it gets back after a few seconds. I had tried downgrading the version and then found of no use. When connected to a call when i press the key pad buttons it can be heard at the other side (receiver phone). I really doubt it is a software bug and i had raised the concern in the zentalk and other blog spot. Found similar problems faced by other users. Now I am forced to look for buying another phone since there was no attention by the Asus support team regarding this issue. I still will be keeping my Zenfone 2 (2GB), since I love it and hope the Asus team will attend to the issue and come up with a solution.
If any one had faced a similar situation and were able to resolve kindly share them for the benefit of users of zenfone 2 and who face this problem

Please don`t talk nonsense about this phone.It`s been 2 weeks since i have it and there's no issue with the battery draining.I updated the phone's system straight away after i first connected to a wi-fi and the battery keeps around 70% at the end of the day.During the day i am playing games, text messages, surf on the internet and facebook and do some calls.
Also, it can be fully charged in about 30 minutes which is great.

i really like this phone, here in the philippines at the price of 13990 you can get this asus zenfone 2 with specs of 4gb ram, 32gb internal memory 5.5inchs screen, unlike other phone brand that you should have lots of lots of money just to have their flagships phone. unfortunatelly i accidentally drop it.

Battery charging issue - Cant charge the phone. Wait till the battery completely drain-off only able to stand a chance to charge it. Its frustrating. I believe it is firmware problem.
SKU image issue - It come with CN / CUCC / TW / WW version. CN version is suck as it is not allowed google services to work with it. (I have done so many technical research to change the SKU from CN to WW.) How many of the users able to waste such time to do this?
Battery drains fast - it solve after i install the lastest firmware.
Other experience is good. Battery charging issue is frustrated.

To improve battery life 1) update the the latest firmware. 2) user auto-start manager to manager your start up tasks, the lesser the better. 3) Manage your app, with the latest firmware (Android version 5.0, software ino WW_2.20.40.139_2151104), you shall be able to disable a lot of bloatware including those preloaded by ASUS. 4) switch to super saver mode if you are not actively using wifi or daa. I am able to survive my phone for 1.5 day without charging (but of course I switch it off when I sleep and switch it on the next moring).

It Was Amazing among top 5 brands, I bought my Zenfone 2 ZE551ML (2.33GHz-4GB of RAM) one month ago. the phone is really amazing to use and very fast. the charging is really quick (less than 1h to full charge) but the battery life wasn't that good. If I wanted my phone to last the day I had to use the power saving mode. Feels Good.

Have been using my ZF2 ZE551ML since June till now.. and I'm really happy with the phone as it served my purpose very well for e-mailing, social media, reading news, games, downloading other apps, watching videos on YouTube and others, music and even took very nice photos in Beijing recently... its great, no regret buying it!
It's definitively good value for money..

I bought my Zenfone 2 ZE551ML (2.33GHz-4GB of RAM) 10 days ago. the phone is really amazing to use and very fast. the charging is really quick (less than 1h to full charge) but the battery life wasn't that good. If I wanted my phone to last the day I had to use the power saving mode. But after I uninstalled the Clean Master app provided by default, the battery life now is about 2 days with normal usage (WiFi, 3G, browsing, gaming and hours of calling), I think that the problem was in the Clean Master app that drain the battery. So for anyone who has problem with battery life, just remove that app and you will be happy.

2. Every modern smartphone has some heating issues. You can't complain about that if you are a heavy user.
3. Gaming issue - try Settings-->Power management-->Power saver-->Performance mode.
