So you are too facing issue of battery drain?
And what do you mean by "it wont open"
Can you please tell me how much battery backup you get and what do you mean by heavy usage. I mean like gaming, chat, call etc in terms of usage hours such as 30-40min of gaming,1-2 hours facebook etc

And if you know a good app for battery saving, please let me know

Thanks for reply

I recently successfully upgraded my zenfone 5 to android kit Kat version (4.4.2), it's really proving great ... Thanks to ASUS on this service; Response of phone much better and better battery backup; even better on aesthic ground(s). . .

Suggestion: I wish ASUS enhances its battery mAh to around 2500mAh

Why do you upgrade to KITKAT if you are getting several many problems

There's nothing any huge difference between them

Hello! Are the photos produced by the Zenfone 5 Instagram-worthy? (of course with the help of some editing but you get the point) If you have some, can you link me some photos?

                    Dear zenfone user
kitkat stable version is coming next week.
so don't update now to kitkat as it has bugs and it is not full version.
wait for 1-2 week full kitkat version will release.

                      Hi all,
Got my new Zenfone 5 three days back. Its awesome.
But I am worried about battery. Whenever I connect to wifi, it drains approx. 1% every 1-2 mins.Is it ok.

I read on internet that, the battery will take at-least a week to show its real performance. What I mean to say is after few charge -discharge cycles, battery will perform good. Is it correct?

And please let me know about how much battery life you guys are getting and for what kind of usage.
So that I can compare it with mine and find out if there is really a issue with my zenfone battery or model.

Would like to get lots of responses.

                      Thanks to all in advance

AnonD-313233, 22 Oct 2014Factory reset is same like root? It can downgrade firmware ... moreNo it is not the same.

Rooting requires installing a dedicated rooting software, factory reset is just that - it resets the settings to factory defaults.

You can downgrade a rooted device, but do be aware that any and all warranties are gone the moment you root it.

Asus will refuse to service the phone if you brick it.

AnonD-210234, 22 Oct 2014How did you update your phone? through OTA? or manual?I first updated OTA and had many problems including black screen etc. So I did a factory reset through droidboot (pressing power and volume up and selecting factory reset). Most problems went away after that. Later I downloaded the 700 MB complete kit Kat from asus site and did an upgrade through that. Then wiped the cache partition and did another factory reset.
