This goes for reputable brands like SanDisk, ADATA, Kingston, Lexar, Samsung, Sony,… Not for some noname stuff with fake logos on, that you can find on eBay...

If you already installed them to internal memory, go to Settings, Apps, slide screen to the left to see MOVEABLE at the top, select them and move them to SD card. I recommend you get class 10 SD card.
In camera you can also set the folder to save photos/videos to SD card.
Many other apps also allow that. But not all. Some apps can't run from SD.

You can turn these on and off inside the Settings - what to display and what not, under Asus customized settings, then Quick settings options.

Avoid eBay and Amazon, or any shady sellers.
If you are buying in a shop, check the back of the box, there is a sticker there and it should read A501CG and NOT A500CG. In small letters below, where it shows how much RAM and eMMC (flash memory) it has, it should show WWE-ANDROID.
That is an international version.
I would also recommend that you go for 2 GB RAM model, and if price is same as 8 GB, for the 16 GB eMMC model.
Avoid 1 GB RAM models. Or anything that does not have Intel logo PRINTED at the back plate, as there are also models that have an intel sticker at the back.
Most likely that are very early or Chinese models.

Thanks asus for such a nice phone @rs 10,000.Many many people have bought this seeing impressive performance of my phone.Asus saved atleast rs 20,000 of mine.

Then Open "Phone Information"
Then on the bottom there will be option
WCDMA Preferred, WCDMA only, GSM only, GSM preferred....etc
WCDMA preferred: auto 3g means it will convert to 2g if it don't get that minimum 3g signal,
WCDMA only: It will always choose 3g

That said, you still have WW-3G modem, which could work everywhere.
But A500CG is surely a Chinese model, as international model is A501CG, and has TOOJ and not TOOF code.
Now, what you can TRY to do, if you can't return it, is to download this firmware file:
http://www.mega-networks.asia/ZenFone/ZenFone5_WW_Firmware/UL_ASUS_T00F_WW_1_17_40_16.zip
Plug the phone into your computer, and open Computer to see the disk drives and devices - double click on phone, and then on internal memory "drive" icon inside.
Unzip downloaded file into the main (root) folder of that Internal memory.
You should get notified that there's update waiting once copy finishes and you unplug the cable from computer.
Hope that allows you to turn it into WW Android model.
But please! I do NOT give any warranties on whether this will work. You might be told that file isn't compatible. Or it might install it and fail to work later.
In that case you might need to get recovery access (just pressing 3 buttons on power-on) and load the software with a rooting tool from your laptop.

Is it even a Zenfone? All the different models get same version of firmware, as the patches come to all of them at the same time. So even CN version is on 1.17.40.
Your firmware suggests something much more tricky being done. Can you check in About my phone in settings what it says the specs and model are?
