how did you know about these improvements of z5?... moreFrom Google's information on what optimizations were done on Kitkat's code. Especially mentioning Atom. Other optimizations on speed and security are across the board, for any configuration.
The performance improvement on another recently updated phone was significant do I am expecting improvements on similar scale for ZF as well.

Hi everyone ..I got my zp5 from flipkart and the phone was working very fine.but when I got system update and updated the same my camera performance degraded ..any one facing the same problem.

how did you know about these improvements of z5? or is it typical for a phone that once it has been upgraded to kitkat, it will improve as what you've said. i am more excited about battery performance upgrade, but not so sure if it's true.

I have zenfone 5 and specs are really good i just wanna ask all zenfone5 users if your batteries drains fast because if not i think i might have to consult for the warranty because mine drains really fast like only up to 6~7 hours

At first it drains much battery. Then i updated 1.17. I broke my record with it. 13-14 hours (80% to 15%) with open connections like as 2G data and Wi-Fi. Brightness was automatic too. It's battery is very good in my opinion. I had wifi problems for a while and it has gone now. Great phone.
It's very good for its price, even better than this "prime, greatest, expensive, best quality styled phones."

Pooja, 26 Aug 2014I am confuse between S850 and Asus ZenPhone 5 because Lenov... moreIf You like look of lenovo then u should buy. Otherwise specs wise Zenfone 5 is better. i don't think look is bad either but you should go by your taste.
Zenfone 5 processor is much powerful than lenovo's mediatek processor
ZF5 having 2 gb RAM where as Lenovo s850 having 1 gb RAM.
NO wifi direct or DLNA on Lenovo s850.
Lenovo s850 doesn't have compass/magnetometer
Lenovo s850 doesn't have expandable memory.
Lenovo s850 has no scratch resistant glass.

Abinash, 26 Aug 2014How to know the frequency...Plz tell meYou can chose to install one of many cpu monitoring apps from the Google Play Store. I installed Usemon to monitor the cpu since I can check cpu usage while using an application just by pulling down the status bar notifications.

Hello all..this is my first post here..so i would like to know is this phone has been sold at 2 gb ram or no at Malaysians?so sorry for my bad english..and i also like samsung galaxy core 2..then i tried compared it..spec of core 2 too low and for asus i scared if many apps will crushed..thats what i see from reviews here..plz suggest what phone best to buy between asus zenfone 5 or samsung galaxy core 2

I think Finding zenfone service centers is a big deal...and its a shame if one has to go service center for a 20 days old product...

I have been using this phone for last 6 day... moreI use Samsung charger as well as it is 2.5 vs 1.35A of Asus charger. Higher current charges faster. There is a limit though.
Don't try to use Oppo Vooc charger on ZF.

Hi Everyone!!!
I have been using this phone for last 6 days. Excellent phone. Gr8 display, looks, performance. No issues with wi-fi, 3G, etc. GPS working fine. Camera looks fine. Its imposible to use this phone with one hand with a flip cover because of its size your thumb will not be able to cover whole screen. Loudspeaker is poor. earphone output is good. No issues in connecting to PC. wi-fi hotspot works well.
But Battery is not up to the mark. Drains very fast.
But it will improve with KITKAT.
The charger that comes in box takes almost 4 hours to charge 100% battery. I used my samsung charger and it charged in 2 hours. Pl comment on this.
