apal, 14 Aug 2014cannot open the back coverThere is a little ridge at the bottom of the cover in one corner, use a nail or a flat plastic tool to open it up from that corner. You might need to "unclip" it all around the cover, since it uses many points to clip it to the back of the phone body...

Any... moreWhen you plug in the charger, does the light turn on, orange or green, next to the front camera? If it does, then it could be the button.
Try to take off the back cover and there you will see 3 metal contacts that buttons cover. Use some plastic tool to press the top one of them to see if it turns on.
If it does, then put the cover back on so that you put the button side first, and check that nothing looks broken off inside the cover.
Then check again if buttons respond.
If the lights don't come up and this isn't working, then it would be best to take it to Asus service centre, or return to where you've bought it from.

It's processor in gsm arena feature is z2580 having processor 2Ghz but in official website processor is only on z2560 also having 1.6 Ghz..
where can i get same phone having processor z2580 and 2Ghz.

My friends have bought 2 from me and they loved it. Do take note that there are 2 variants of Zenfone 5, the older version is 8gb internal storage whereas the new one has 16gb, 2gb ram and runs Quad core.
Heating should not be an issue as anyone can learn to disable unnecessary background process to reduce processor load.

I already have this device and it doesn't support USB OTG.. the other specification is very good and never hang..but i think the battery capacity is not enough. anyway, its good.. :)

So how u r thinking of updating.WHAT differences you are facing compare to kitkat and those differences are good or bad. What you think about ZenUI. I never experienced such errors, if you are facing then update your system with good network speed not on 2g speed. OR ELSE RETURN THE PHONE AND CONTINUE USING Moto G.

first day with asus zen phone 5
1 : most of pre build apps give error(error : code x213) dont know why.
2 : already installed jelly bean outdated
3 : Even not able to update to kit kat 4.4.4 latest
