As for OIS...have you seen video tests? It does the same job with the EIS. And not the first time i've seen this:

So called "flagships" are totally overrated. EVEN in terms of camera and camera doesn't define a phone.

Tok Mat, 20 May 20193.5mm jack and massive external memory card storage not a f... moreFeatures like the ones you mentioned don't define flagship; Only processors do. If the processor has a SD855, Kirin 980, A12 or A13, or Exynos 9820, it's a flagship. Nothing more. No matter how many cr@ppy features this phone has but in the end, it has SD855 so it's a flagship. Pocophone F1 is a Flagship killer because it sells SD845 at unprecedented rates.

Well to be honest I am actually having mix feelings about the Asus zenfone 6. The motorized camera lookes kinda cool , but I dont know about the durability in real life use , and I really do prefer amoled over LCD screen .

Issy_I, 19 May 2019That means the OnePlus 7 Pro is absolutely a budget flagshi... more3.5mm jack and massive external memory card storage not a flagship features dude. Flagship features right now are like Optical Images Stabilizer (OIS), telephoto camera, fingerprint under display and IP68 dust and water resistance rate, do this Zenfone 6 have it ? I believe not . Yes I agreed OLED/AMOLED is no longer flagship features but most flagship do have it. To me Zenfone 6 ZS630KL are more like premium midrange than flagship with minimum flagship price on the market. I'm not Asus haters, I do own one Asus phone right now.

Eitherway Asus Phones are easier to bootunlock with no DRM/losing functionality/triggerng Security Crap like KNOX compared to say like Sony/Samsung that triggers or removes functionality whilst with Asus you can freely go Official or CustomROMS of your choice.

Been searching for a new phone to replace mine which is starting to get faults (fingerprint reader/home buttons not working). There are lots of 'hands-on' reviews that say about doing a full review, but they don't seem to turn up :(

I had been thinking of the 1+7 (not pro), but looking at this one seems a better deal, I mean you get a much larger battery, SD card, 3.5mm jack, no notch, reverse charging, Gorilla Glass 6, ultrawide lens AND a FM Radio (does any actually use those on a phone?). And it is €50 cheaper.
About the only things I can see the 1+ has over the Zenfone is it has 3.1USB rather than the ZF with USB 2.0 and an in-screen fingerprint reader.
I am not mentioning screens here because personally I prefer an LCD over OLED. Mostly because all my previous phones with OLED have suffered with some form of burn in or yellowing.
My only real concern is how long with Asus support the phone for? I can't find anything that talks about support.

Camera quality can be improved by updates and tweaked as Asus have done many times in the past, the phone isnt even out yet.

I think both cameras have advantages and disadvantages. p30 Pros is better overall but Zenfone's is without extreme zooming in absolutely wonderfull

The View20 has no SD card, deal breaker for me. So, on paper the Asus is all I needed, except for the camera. I can't bear the fact that it has the best sensor on the market and makes some of the worst pictures I've seen.
