BlingBling, 01 May 2022S22 is even smaller than zenfone 8...Has better screen with... mores22 is shorter, but wider, which matters more when it comes to compactness. It has a smaller battery and slower charging. It has all that you mentioned above, but in India, s22 sells for $900 whereas Zenfone 8 sells for $549. So for $350, I'm more than pleased to ignore the merits of s22, when all I care about is a compact phone with headphone jack. But for other regions, s22 will be a great deal if it's within $100 of price difference.

They optimised selfie camera in last update, so it looks better (earlier it was doing too much smoothening). I primarily bought it for its size, since there's no alternative available. That's how Asus plays with you, they launch something which nobody else offers. Battery life is ok, I can get a full day at home, your milage may vary though depending on your usage.

Phrigi, 26 Apr 2022Hi, I just ordered this device (I still can cancel the orde... moreIf you want a phone that's reliable, get an iPhone. I'm not too fond of them, but they last a long time. Like iPhone 13 mini is small with great performance. Also keep in mind that Asus Zenfone 8 has random bricking issue, so be careful of that.
If you want my 2 cents, I would just get Sony Xperia 10 III. Sure it's slow, but it's small and has great battery life.

Hi, I just ordered this device (I still can cancel the order), is there anyone with experience of using it after several months or even a year?
I was choosing between Galaxy A52s and Xperia 10 III but this one has the smallest dimensions and overall better performance. But I have no experience with Asus.
I have been using mostly Sony smartphones until now and usually kept them for three to four years, do you think Asus can stay reliable this long?
Thanks for any recommendation!

salarx, 15 Apr 2022I wonder why companies are putting so much effort in improv... moreI care about pictures. Sure, I could go around school taking crisp photos with my handheld camera, right? People would say woah, photography is this dude's passion.
But I get your point, we shouldn't obsess too much on camera on phones, but I still need a phone with a good camera. I guess i still have anxiety after my Sony XA1, which could not take a decent picture of the whiteboard and the writing would be blurry.

Small.lover, 08 Mar 2022How is the battery life after months of use?Modern batteries shouldn't have any severe degradation in that short timespan... In any case, this phone has a pretty low SOT from day 1 :P

I wonder why Asus bothered with getting a 'Hi-Res' certification for the phone's audio. I guess it's good that they considered high sound fidelity in their designs, in an era where many manufactures don't even put a headphone jack in their phones, but I think that the people who listen to hi-res audio (especially at 32-bit/384KHz) will be using a dedicated DAC/amp.
