How is the battery life after months of use?

Anonymous, 06 Mar 2022Its performance has remained the same after the update, but... moreYeah, imo software support is the only issue and as of the next gen hardware (8 gen 1), i don't think such a small device can handle a powerful processor so they might increase the phone size and also may remove the audio jack so, this might be the last phone with a flagship processor, small size and audio jack. And also, I'm currently getting it at half the price of iPhone 13, so i guess it's a good deal.

ASTROS, 04 Mar 2022Thinking of buying this phone. Can anyone here please tell ... moreIts performance has remained the same after the update, but the battery has gotten better to an insane degree. I was considering trading it in before the update because of its previously terrible battery life. Keep in mind, though, that this phone is nearly a year old and a hardware refresh will be announced soon. I'd wait because of Asus's short length of software support.

dcoryh, 28 Feb 2022That's the only reason I'm looking at Asus. I ... moreIf you're even a slight remote audiophile, not just some random rant about have a 3.5mm I found your statement full of it. There is nothing HiRes about the Zenfone 3, it had no audio DAC, the balance is tuned really bad and thin, the THX is just a gimmick that does nothing and the only good thing about it is, it does support AptX (not HD, just normal AptX) - a information that didn't mention on this site. Ironic....

And the headphone jack is not really a snug fit that it comes out a little very easily and after 1.5 years, sometimes I need to unplug/replug as it does't connect properly or the phone doesn't detect headphone plugged in (plays through speakers).

Thinking of buying this phone. Can anyone here please tell me if it has any heating issues while gaming after android 12 update? and also, is the phone buggy after the update?

If it had microSD + wireless charging + USB 3.x, it would be a no-brainer to replace my Galaxy S10e. Or if it had 512GB or 1TB internal, I could live without the SD. I can't downgrade from 640GB (128GB + 512GB SD) to a mere 256GB. And having lived with wireless charging for 5 years, it would be tough to give that up. Unfortunately, the Xperia 1 III is the only phone that has all the features I want (3.5mm, SD, wireless charging, USB 3.x), although it's a lot taller than I'd like. Zenfone 8 looks like a great device otherwise, and the ideal physical size for me. So close to being my solution. D'oh!

Too expensive and buggy, in a world of samsung galaxy s21's and people not using headphones. Asus should do a midranger with headphone jack and easily compete with iphone SE
