The Zenfone 8 fell short by missing expandable storage and wireless charging.
It'd be nice if Asus were to address both of these shortcomings. I don't think they will, though. Which is a shame. They'll die on the beach yet again with me. I rather keep by older S10e wich has both those things (and, let's face it, better software) than to switch to a Zenfone 9 without them. The newer processor and more RAM isn't enough to make up for the far more useful things in my book like expandable storage and wireless charging.

800€ for no telephoto camera and subpar design ( aysmmetrical bezels ). No SDcard slot either. Pass.

Chin looks bigger than on zenfone 8 but physical size is smaller and higher screen body ratio on zenfone 9.
Still hoping chin is not Jay Leno sized.

specs are kind of amazing considering the compact mobile segment,if they have given sd card rest all compact mobiles can go to dustbin.

Please stop trying to dodge the question with things that have nothing to do with it. No matter how good your hands are, it's totally risky to put all your eggs in one basket (especially if all you're relying on is an *SD card*). So in your case, use your computer instead then, even if it's as much a hassle as carrying a flash drive, as you say.

Let's hope there will no ramdump issues this year. The absence of microsd slot upsets, so is the lacking an e-sim module, BUT there's a headphone jack, and a decent battery. NICE!
