Anonymous, 12 Feb 2019Battery is draining to fast after 3rd update in Asus ZenFon... moreProblem Statement: I was dropped my Max Pro M2 mobile phone accidentally from my pant pocket which was 3 feet distance and Corning Gorilla Glass has damaged severely but my mobile display and all other functionality works well & good.
When I tried to reach Asus via Toll Free, they suggested me to reach out to Chennai-Egmore & Mount Road service center and these centers are authorized service center for Asus Mobile Phones/Laptops.
Bit surprised by the charges they quoted to replace Gorilla Glass which was around INR 5312 in one service center and INR 6000 in another service center. And when I dig more on why the rate was too high and they explained me that the Gorilla Glass was coupled with Display of the Mobile Phone and they need to replace both Gorilla Glass and the Display of Phone. By this stance when our Gorilla Glass {i.e. Not even withstanding one single drop from 3 feet distance but opposed to an advertisement in mobile features of 15 consecutive drops in 1 feet distance which was MORE FALSE Statement}.
Common Feedback from Service Center: Also, I have received feedback from one of the above service centers that they are handling more Gorilla Glass Damages from Asus phone Max Pro M2 and this is BIG scam of cheating common man money with such HUGE 5-6k cost for simple Gorilla Glass Damage.
Suggestion Made to Asus: I have asked Asus Mobile Phone department to add one disclaimer under Corning Gorilla Glass section of Max Pro M2 that, if you need to protect your mobile from drop on any feet distance, please buy one strong tempered glass on top of Corning Gorilla Glass 6.
Recommendation: If you still go for this mobile, better buy strong Tempered Glass on top of this cheap Corning Gorilla Glass, so that at least your mobile could be safe (not sure though).

I think max pro m2 is a disappoinment for enthusiast who will get this phone because of great specs and stock android but need to settled with the ugly notch and will also disappoint ordinary user who upgraded their phone to catch up with the latest phone design by having notch but ended up having difficulty using the phone because it lacks zenUI. Im still hopefull another version will come up without a notch and with zenUI before I retire my zenfone 3 Max and max pro M1.

It's become natural in all branded mobile in headphone. You can play your mobile. Go youtube search for 3d effect song and listen it than you feel what I want say. Thanks for reply

is it worth buying? I focus on game fps and battery. but I hate this phone because doesnt specify having fast charge. or am I wrong? Mi 8 lite has a good fast charge should I buy that?

MISLEADING, it has no NFC, even the official global site not mentioned it. Specifically for Indonesia region, ASUS not provide NFC because their false belief that Indonesian user not required it while in fact the government forced it citizen to pay using NFC cards.

Finally next week, me and my wife finally gets an upgrade and it's going to be this phone. Btw, that's coming from a zenfone max(1st gen) to this. My wife has been an asus fan since the time we bought our phones more than 2 years ago. There are a lot of max series(3 max, 4 max, max plus and etc.) already and yet here we are still using this phone but next week, we're both just so excited. And my little sister has been eyeing already on asking my old phone to be hers since i'm getting a new one. Durable at its finest. God bless everyone!

Stock camera no slow motion and time lapse.
I tried to install google camera app the picture look similar pixel 3.

My ASUS screen is line issue after used this phone for a week.
