BB9000 is an excellent phone for business ppl.its not for the business ladies as it is quite big to call so shld go for the JavelinBB.
I have been using it for a month and have not faced any probems. Excellent sound quality and good internet browsing(u will take time adjusting to it but will not take time.)
The only problem I face is the poor battery life.
It just drains out by the evening. Me being extensive user and talk more than 4hrs a day with browsing.

Advise to BB9000 user who have 3G activated to save battery life:
Change your 3G to 2G that will save some battery and use 3G only while surfing for faster browsing.

    Cheers

Has anyone heard a hint of a Bold upgrade? Its been almost a year since its release, just thought an upgrade would be in the pipeline & most probably be available towards the end of 09'

Zam@Medan, 23 Mar 2009Just one more thing... now I just can't surf the web using ... moreI think your browser settings is wrong

Go to Option -> Advanced Option -> Browser

You'll see 3 option there, check your Default Browser Configuration, you should change it to Internet Browser for use with BIS

When you're on Wifi, you should change it to Hotspot Browser (just remember to set it back to Internet Browser once you're out from Wifi)

If your browser settings is either Telkomsel.com / Indosat.com / XL.com then you're in trouble as whenever you're browsing, you're using the normal GPRS rate charges as supposed to the unlimited browsing usage under your BIS account (the charges can kill you)

Same goes while using Opera, it uses GPRS rate charges instead of your unlimited BIS account

I suggest you use BOLT Browser, it use your current BIS Account, you can check it out at www.bolt.com (need to register before dowloading)

                Hope that's help

many people have questions about the battery life with the bold but don't understand that 3G kills your battery life.. so you have to switch it to 2G for the battery life to be better

Just one more thing... now I just can't surf the web using my BB Browser. But there's no problem with Opera Mini. I've subscribe to BIS. So, what's causing this problem? I also tried clearing all my cache, and also restarted my phone several times. The problem still remain unsolved... However, I can still receive my email... Any help would be very much appreciated...TQ. And by the way, I don't have any UMTS or HSDPA signal here so... I just turn on GPRS. Did it have anything to do with the problem?

There are two ways to do it

1st: Don't register any email accounts with your BB Devices, then it won't download your email to your BB (No connection, no charges)

2nd. You can opt for Data Services to be off from the network settings (Manage Connections -> Mobile Network Options -> Data Services -> OFF)

Zam@Medan, 22 Mar 2009I'd like to comment. I've been reading reviews and comments... moreYes you can received files using bluetooth with your blackberry

First, paired your phone, go to options -> set up bluetooth

Once paired, should you want to transfer phone from "other" phone to your bold, firstly you need to "prepare" your bold by going to "media", click the menu key, and select "receive using bluetooth"

It will put your bold into standby mode to receive file from other phone, then only you can go to the other phone and continue with the sending file procedure on that other phone

                                    hope that's help

If however, you relied on T9 for spelling, don't worry, Bold has a built in spellchecker, it will underline mispelt words, and can spellcheck documents automatically before sending, offering probable alternative spellings for words, just like a regular WP

I'd like to comment. I've been reading reviews and comments from this GSMArena for a few months before decided to buy this phone. Here are my own hands-on comments:

                                        Good
                                        1. Great display, a lot better than E71 with is its rival from Nokia.
                                        2. Great sound, the best I ever had.
                                        3. Great user experience, keyboards are well design.
                                        4. Push Email function are just awesome.

                                        Bad
                                        1. Can't received file through bluetooth (but can send through it).
                                        2. Kinda slow when using GPRS (even though I use Opera Mini) compared to Nokia/SE.

This is my comment for 5 days of use. Still, I give it 8/10. I just love it, coz it's just great...
