With voda, on Account, you pay extra 25 bucks a month for unlimited Data and email.

And do you guys know how fast downloading is on this?? 3G with BB data compression....

This is ridiculous... I really want this phone and yet it keeps on delaying it... it's stupid! Let's admit, the functions of this phone isn't the top and yet they take such a long time to release. Stupid blackberry ppl!

why nxg, 01 Aug 2008why go on telstra, overpriced data, some 3 times the amount... moreWell of course you would choose Telstra over Optus or 3 because the netowork coverage is far superior! Simple! Since money isn't an issue for me, I choose Telstra and get all the coverage I need!

And the plans, you only pay $39.95 for the BlackBerry plan and get unlimited internet browsing! So it's not really a waste at all! Whatsmore, the plans for this phone on Telstra is not even out so you obviously can't say Telstra is a rip off! So just shut up!

why go on telstra, overpriced data, some 3 times the amount that optus and voda, i mean 59 for 1mb bb add on ffs.

also works on hsdpa which is not nextg where ppl get confused hsdpa is close to equal between the 3 main carriers in aus voda opt and telstra.

at least voda and optus offer far superior data plans,

                screw Telstra

Seriously though... what's the point of having it on Optus or 3 in Australia? This phone is made to perform at its peak from Next G network. ie Telstra's Next G. So obviously this phone will work better if not perform higher in Telstra's network.

                  Screw Optus or 3.

You'll be able to get the Telephone in Australia from Optus, Telstra and 3. Optus are the first to announce the release date which is 22nd August I believe. The others will presumably follow.

Checked in London on Saturday with Vodafone and have been told that the release date for the UK has now been pushed back to Mid August although they said that the BB rep was not too convincing even with that!

@ Kissy - It should work in Japan as most 3G/HSDPA devices will work there, just not GSM ones.

Not sure about the Chinese although I'm sure you should be able to download language packs for it.

Can it read Chinese and Japanese character? More specifically, can we write Chinese with this BlackBerry Bold?

Also, can it be used in Japan area? Understand Japan mobile systems is UMTS instead of GSM.

                                        Thanks.
