just to notify, the comment mentioning BIS and BES is correct that you do need it. However, you do need it for any blackberry. BIS satnds for Blackberry Internet Solutions which kinda gives the game away

Looks nice.Anyone has an idea how strong the battery is? I have had BB Bold9000 for some time. The battery was really weak. Thanks

Check if u have that data plan active.

Well..1 thing is still bothering me..
The internal memory..Is only 256MB..
I think is a big differences between Bold 9000 with a new Bold..

so far the optical tackpad that on BB bold is no problem,is far better than the previous track ball on bold 9000

Sorry to post this if it was already asked somewhere, but I'm having a hard time deciding whether to get the blackberry bold 9700, or the HTC hero. I have used a blackberry before and loved the bbm, but I also used a htc magic as well which runs with an android operating system and I absolutely loved the apps and the constant updates for the android devices. Would be a great help if some of you can give me reasons/opinions of each device. Thanks in advance.

Doesn’t matter what version the OS is, all BlackBerry’s are the same.
Don’t see the point in making a review because it’s just a repeat of previous models, like a broken record.
1. 5 megapixels
2. Video record 30fps
3. Full flash browser
4. Android OS (DroidBerry) that’s an option
5. 8GB internal memory plus MicroSD
6. Better Appstore
7. No BlackBerry Service Plan
There are more things that could be added to the list but these are main little things that every other phone’s have. (Apart from Number 4 on the list, BlackBerry could easily make this happen)
Just don’t understand why they wasting time and money in building the same devices which do the same things.

Had I named them, BlackBerry's would have been the correct spelling. LESSON 101 in spelling and english grammer.

South Africa, 11 Jan 2010had it for 2 months now!!! best phone i've had! no problems... more,,the blackberry is beautifull good design..good color..;;;[[['' but i like the model of nokia e71 bec. this is fasting massaging and good model....good colors///...verry fasting to use..read the specification of e71 and i hope you like it too...thx good day....
