I don't have any freezing problems with mine but you can hold the following keys together to restart the device instead of pulling the battery out:
left alt key+right caps key+delete key
Phone will restart just like it normally would if you had taken the battery out. Hope this helps :).

i have my 9780 now for a few weeks, its my 3rd blackberry and i think its the best thing since sliced bread!

Very thrilled with this phone. Switched over from the Curve 8900 and there is a world of a difference in all parameters. i use this primarily for emails and news applications. Also found social netwroking a lot easier with this. I would recommend this over the iphone/android brigade anyday.
The reviewer states that the E72 is a better bet at a lower price. However everyone I know who has an E72 complains about the phone hanging constantly. Also configuring emails is not the easiest thing on that phone. Spend a little more and buy a bb. its a no brainer

Hi frds i am going to buy my first blackberry bold 9700 which cost in mumbai(INDIA)around Rs22700 at croma.& bold 9780 at Rs26800. I am confused which 1 i shld buy bcoz onli diff is Os6 & 5MXP.I liked Bold 9700 more in looks & i heard blackberry have got Os6 for Bold 9700 so i think payg 4000rs for 9780 is waste of money.I may be wrong bcoz i dont knw much abt blackerry. plz help me.

Im just get this babe 2month ago...it was just terrific, greAt feat.OS 6 work very well smooth and fast...but i quite tension with it sometimes...coz it always frezze, sometimes trackpad lose control...sometimes camera didnt work...and auto reboot...what exactly is happening with it...???i dont understand y...? just depressive....;(

I hate Blackberry´s...they did not change nothing at all...same style,keyboard,screens(even when did a touchscreen they´ve fail on),camera,the worst they have is them OS...
everytime i see the spec.and the models of these mobile company i have been figured out these litle thing wich make of bb and non favorable and useless brand..just ppl got one of this just 4 ¨bb pin¨but Come On¨ if you doesnt have an internet plan that mean that your bb will not work..so if i gonna pay that plan i preffer to have a better brand,desing and, ofcourse, a better OS. Long Live: (1)Htc-(2)Motorola-(3)Nokia. after them: Samsung-Lg and Sony.

gabriel, 16 Jan 2011Really incredible phone, I just have a problem with the lif... moretry to turn off your 3G connection on when NEEDED ONLY this should improve the baterry life and also something that MANY people does not know is that at LEAST ONCE A MONTH let the battery runs out COMPLETELY flat before fully being recharge you should notice a slight change in battery lifetime and check the display brightness and auto dim light and also it all depends on how you use your mobile phone if you do extensive web browsing and listening to music at least 1hrs daily then yes I'd say 2 days is in FACT very good.hope this will help ya out.

I have got this device which is fabulous however it sometimes freezes and I have to take the battery out which makes me very fustrated :s On the other hand this phone is perfect for social networking ;)

d piece iz very light compared 2 bold2...its also very slim..in d case it fits really nice..nd my bold3...fits into d bold2 case...vd d cover on... :P
i really lykd d web browsing...its lags a bit in d text msg inbox...rest everythng iz jus perfect... :D :D

You can't even compare an e72 to a BB Bold. When I touch a Blackberry I feel satisfaction, everything is so easy for me, it makes sense, while Nokia nowadays make cheap phones with stupid menus.

I'm using the torch and the 9780 for a month or so and after using nokia to it's generations including the n8 and htc and iPhone to it's generations this are the best ever phones I have ever had.
If u like touch screen the 9800 is a beast if u like the candy bar 9780 is perfect.
Finally a phone that packs everything without needing a 3rd apps and never freezes get a bug or get stuck.rim shapooo

9780 comes with OS6... is faster but the OS is very annoying .,,,nothing better than the os5.....
