Simply perfect. only display can be larger. i used Samsung Galaxy 2 for 6 months, sold it in ebay. this is a huge phone in my hand ... plus i dont like that much only touch screen device. i used E72 before that was OK. but i think bold 9790 is the best qwerty device in market with push email and BBM ....

slick device, all in one. great job done by RIM. battery life is not an issue with 9790. Battery life is much better than iphone 4s or Samsung G2 ... but Bold 9780 & 9700 is best in class in terms of battery life.

hi bought mine last week love this phone getting a second one today , sold my 9900 bold never liked it , plus it dropped calls all the time , this phone to look at is great just the right size well done rim for bringing this out,its not dropped 1 call yet and when i charged it up it lasted 50 hours on one charge , i used 1 hour 45 mins of calls , and played 15 mins of videos all from that 1 charge ,last time a fone lasted me that long was nokia 6230i, really good phone , and anyone want to know about the phone or charge put your number on i will give you a ring , realy do like this phone ,

I purchased this unit two days ago.very nice
only one thing whenever I lock the phone after sometime it automatically unlocks the keypad

rishabh, 22 Jan 2012i upgrated the software 4 days i purchased ....all is fine ... morehey there @ ""Rishab"" well u have said that after the update your phone works fine i am planning to buy either a curve 9360 or bold 9790 whose battery life is better and after installing n updating whose battery life is better can anyone help me which phones battery is better 9360 or 9790??

amazing device, slick design, battery life when compared to the Bold 9900 is much better, really satisfied with it... i can say its the first OS 7 design that takes the cake, well done RIM...

i dont know why the people talk about battery life. did you use iphone 4s? this is very good phone ... i was using bold 9700 and iphone 4. and i did buy this phone last week. BB OS 7.0 is great ...

bought mine 2 days ago , i had 9900 bold thats history now , got9790 now better size and sounds are louder on 9790 than 9900 , i have 2 numbers so getting a second 9790 as i am that pleased with this phone ,i just dont like big phones to me there really a tablet not a phone , the size of this phone is great for me and so light i really do like this 9790

My ways to prolong the battery life is to switch over network and wifi usage.
When I'm at home or at the office, I'm turning off the data services and change the 3G to 2G since I'm using the wifi.
When I'm outside the house or office where there is no wifi, I switch off the wifi and turn on the 3G and Data Services. This dramatically increases my battery life and usage.
and also the phone's brightness and and the automatic dim.
The use of vibration, ringing tone and led light.
My phone's battery life last like more than a day but to avoid hassle i'm charging it before going to bed. :)
I love my phone and honestly speaking, I'm not doing this network switching, profile & alert management on my Bold 9780 coz the battery is simply outstanding compared to the Bold 9790. This are just simple ways to enjoy your Bold 9790 without charging it during the busy day. ;)

BB is the best messaging device in the market. this is not only push e-mail or BBM, but also security ... i did buy 9790 yesterday, up to now extremely happy. no complain about battery life or so on ..

i am using this phone since mid of last month. great phone, very good upgrade from Bold 9780. battery life is not as good as expected, but it seems high speed CPU makes the trouble, but at the same time battary capacity is less than my last device 9780 ..
