i absoloutly love my bb 9300 best phone ive had and when its time for me to upgrade im positive thaqt i wil go with another bb :-)

I've a question,though,i am experiencing problems when i try to install BB maps.it downloads them from the BB site via my e-mail and then after it's all done downloaded,i just can't find them on my phone !! i searched in all the folders but there's just no trace of the maps. and yahoo messenger app ain't workin' either. excuse my wtf-ing,but i just can't get it right...please help?

Are you sure that the ONLY different between 8520 & 9300 is 3G???
Kindly use the "Compare" Tool available at this site, Im sure you will fine numerous differences.
If I also talk about 3G....Isnt that a huge difference...
As I can make out that 7K difference is making you think twice...then Im sure if you any handset you wont be changing that pretty soon. Right??
So, sine 3G is out here in India now...what will you do....You just bought a handset worth arnd 11K which IS NOT 3G compatible & you CAN NOT change that soon....What will you do???? Keep Sulking as you CAN NOT experience the Fast Internet Speed on ur handset coz of 3G Non-Compatibility!!!!!
Anyways...other notable difference & MAJOR ones -
1) 8520 is with Old OS & 9300 is with OS 5.0 & Upgradable to 6.0. Even OS 5.0 is Huge Different From Old OS.
2) 256 MB RAM & 256 MB ROM in 9300 & not in 8520(must needed for OS upgradability)
3) 667 Mhz processor as compared to 512 Mhz processor in 8520.
4) A-GPS support in 9300 & NOT in 8520.
5) 9300 was released in Aug 2010 while 8520 was released in Aug 2009.
6) Better battery life.
Think again.
Check out the price again, you may get the same for arnd 17-17.5 K in market with bill & 18 months warranty.

purpley, 24 Dec 2010I used this phone for about 3 weeks n experience the uncomf... morehad the same experience when i bought mine. i returned it right away and they replaced it with a new one. i guess some units have dysfunctional track pad.

i am planning to buy a blackberry phone for the 1st time.
from my observation i have found that curve 8520 and curve 9300 are almost identical except 3g and body things.
but price difference is very high between these 2 phones, in india BB8520 is available at 11 K and curve 3g is available at 18 k.. difference of 7000/- Rs isnt too much for 3g ?
are there any other major differences between these 2 phones.. i like curve 3g but i feel being cheated by RIM by demanding 18 k for curve 3g..
please comment on this

Ive had the phone for a mere 3 days and im really loving it. Being a Nokia fan, this phone is user friendly and not too complicated. It has a stunning screen, a cool navigational trackpad, instant email/facebook/messaging AND Gps!
The 2mp camera is good for what its worth.. if youre after a real camera then buy a CAMERA :-)

But, i should tell u before that this official is bad!!! i thought, that it just OS 6 base 380 leaked but tagged as an official. Iam still using 6.418. better than any OS 6 leaked or hybrid for 9300/Curve 3G, try it and feel OS 6!!! awesome...torch feel.
