abukas, 28 Dec 2009JRF.. dude..thanx coz replying for my post..its been a lit... moreHi. Actually, I just meant that the price was too high because it's for the less memory one and I forgot to mention that I already had an iPod touch. So, 1000 dlls isn't worth it. But I do agree, the 3GS is a great phone.

Also, yes, streaming is for youtube and other sites. But, being that you apparently own 2 3G phones, I wouldn't recommend a BB. You'd have to activate the BIS in order to use the services provided by BB so, having a line with 3G internet activated (if you have internet and if you plan on using the same SIM card)you should look for something else. It just wouldn't make sense having BIS if you can buy any unlocked or locked to your carrier phone that is 3g capable.

dude..thanx coz replying for my post..its been a little helpful here..but,one thing for sure im totally disagreed with u when u said that "iphone 3gs is not worth 1000 bucks in ur country"..which is approximately RM3500 in my country..i do own this..but mine is 3g version not 3gs..it cost me around 2500 when i first bought it back in april 2009..and i can say it is working flawlessly and superb..if u own one then u will find what it is all about iphone dude..never comment or think badly about something that u have not owned it yet..becoz u need to feel it like u feel the "in thing" in ur gemini..ok,back to our topic..currently i own two devices and i tell u i love them so much(of coz my wife is more valuable than anything)..the iphone 3g n nokia E63..the reason i admire the gemini is becoz it is cheap n have some stylish looks..thats make me feel like to own one..apart frm that i like the javelin b4 this gemini came out..but i dont want to pay such an expensive as RM1500 for that which has similar looks and capability like gemini..of coz i knew javelin has more features than gemini..but my point is like u said,if i bought this gemini this will be my 1st bb device..thats y im not keen in buying the high-end bb device..in fact,i do have 2 devices which is high-end product already..thats y i chose gemini..i just want to know what is bb all about n feel it..and maybe i'll go for better one after that who knows rite..becoz money is not big deal for me now..1 more thing,i have a doubt about this streaming vids that u talking about..what u mean by streaming vids?is it somekind like u can watch movie,or video clip in youtube or what?i hope u reply soon..
          thanx dude

would anyone tell me how to install BB App world onto this phone. When I installed, it says "the phone does not meet system requirement of the software". Does it mean hardware or BB O/S? It will be very disappointed not be able to use App World on this phone. Help!

JRF, 17 Dec 2009Hey Navin, I guess it would be better to ask your phone ser... moreHi JRF,

The gmail issue was raised to service provider and they did take it up with rim canada people, all agreed with this unique problem...but to no use. we had a conference call and also token no. was issued by rim and they got back sayin thr system is working fine...i need to delete all messages n try again for all accounts... would do tht and see..

issue (for reference) was as mentioned below ------

another issue i face is i haev configured 3 email accounts say a.b@gmail.com, a.b@yahoo.com and abc@ymail.com....now when i compose n send mail from a.b@gmail.com i do receive it in both the other mail inbox of BB...when i send to gmail from abc@ymail i do receive it in gmail inbox on BB but when i send a mail from a.b@yahoo to a.b@gmail.com i dont receicve the mail in my inbox of gmail on BB ... also when i try to send a mail from my official address a.b@shell.com its doesnt appears on my gmail bb inbox...what i found is this gmail account is havg same id as of others i.e. a.b@... but yahoo a.b@yahoo receives all mails from similar id of other domains...

bukas, 27 Dec 2009im about to buy this device as my first blackberry..so can ... moreWell, it depends. If you're in to streaming vids and picture taking then I would recommend something else. If you use just email and instant messaging mostly then, yes, I would recommend this. I think that edge and bis is ok for this because emails and IM work fast. My chats and emaila were never delayed. The only and biggest dissapointment would be that you can't stream vids through edge, 3g is what you need. But, something the review doesn't take into consideration is that this, being an introduction phone for people who want a Blackberry but don't want to spend as much on one, has great features for the price. An example, when I wanted to buy a blackberry (bold 9000 = $700 dlls in my country) I said "wow! What if it's not worth it?" then the 8900 came out and I decided to spend my 500 dlls on an n85 (which I regretted) and then decided to pay the 290dlls for this one. Half the price of others and similar features. Of course, it lacks a good camera, 3g, and others small thing but for the price, I'm very satisfied with the value for money. Of course, now I'm looking for something more, of course at a greater expense; the Motorola Dext (700 dlls) is what caught my attention being that I dont want to pay the 999 dlls of an iPhone 3gs or nokia n97, the iPhone isnt worth 1000 bucks, and nokia has been really buggy lately. So, bring on Android and Motoblur. Think befor you buy! And, if possible, play around with phones before purchasing.

I want to tell GSMARENA team that they have mentioned two different things for one product
In specification the expandable memory is Up to 32 GB and in latest review it is saying
Up to 16 GB. And I don't agree with GSM review because I am using 8520 from last ten days
All I can say that this is a very good phone if some one is looking for
                      Blackberry services.
                      I will give 08/10
                      Thanks

                        Review is much pathetic.
mine's touchpad, music keys & battery time all good :)

the phone is a great size looks stylish..however the phone is pretty much just meant for that. it does not have 3G which is a bit dissapointing as it is meant to be a smart/business type phone.

Just make sure that the web browser's settings are set to connect through public access points or something like that.
