khawaja, 22 Jan 2009i want to purchase the blackberry... can any one tell which... morebattery is excellent just depends how much you use it but not much difference i haven't charged mine for 4 days and i listen to alot of music and watch films on it (which is excellent avi player, great quality)
web browers is fast dosent make a difference wether theres 3g or not. feels thin and light. there isn't much software for it yet just have to give it a little more time.
overall best phone of all Blackberry phones. guarantee you will enjoy the handset if you get it.

Wow, just got mine from Rogers it's amazing!
Very good features, wifi and gps, awesome camera.
By the way, the camera button has two steps, one to autofocus, then push down further to take the picture, great feature!
Also, the screen is AMAZING! Same resolution as the blackberry storm (but 480 x 360 instead of 360 x 480) so it is same resolution but smaller screen so it looks SO CLEAR and crisp.
Love the keyboard and the size, it's perfect. Definitely get this over the bold if you are debating.

For those who are having battery issue, I think software version 4.6.1.114 have fixed the problem. I was having battery issue with .96 but upgraded it to .114 and fixed the problem and I guess among other things :)

the bb curve is a great phone if no how to use it properly, the battery is good but if u keep the gps fuction switched on it does drain the batt its the same if you use 3g on the bold or laeave your bluetooth switched on! the curve is designed for the commercial market thats y it has smooth sleek design. it is still as reliable as the bold and the curve b4 it! another great cevice from blackberry

unknown poster 88, 18 Jan 2009i now have the bold and the curve and the curve does the sa... moreThe Bold has a faster processor than the 8900. The speakers sounds a lot better than the 8900. And where are you getting faster speeds on Edge over 3G? 3G is much faster than Edge. Don't get confused over using WiFi.

To all you guys having battery-life problems, you might want to try disengaging the GPS function when not in use. Not saying I know for sure (I have an old 8320) but Google Maps (for instance) will kill your battery in less than a few hours if you don't turn off the My Location function as it is always trying to find cell towers even when your not using it. I also learned that it sucks to talk on the phone in a wifi location because if your phone is in wifi mode instead of Edge mode the phone calls keep dropping... even in my bedroom.

Still not happy with battery on 2nd handset!!! Believe that BB have downgraded build on this model , trying to attract any user with its better looks. I am almost certainly going to return this handset & revert to a normal curve or try the Bold. Astonished by the reports from some on here about it having good battery life!!!

Anonymous, 17 Jan 2009Please answer: Is the software on the 8900 the same as that... moreAssuming all the software same as bold.
since we know that to get the curve 8900 we have to pay more. I mean curve is more expensive compare to bold.
