Just bought one. Absolutely amazing. Nothing wrong with battery. Bought from Handtec in the UK.

i now have the bold and the curve and the curve does the same as a bold just better and faster.this screen is sharper than the bold, the curve is 480x360 and the bold is 480x320 . the EDGE on this phone beats my bold using 3G to every website. personally this is the best phone on the market and will be for a very long time. the choice is clear.(curve 8900)

bold has only one advantage over it 3G..
other than that this one can beat bold in any aspect at any time

does anyone know if Blackberry has made an official responce or comment regarding its 8900's poor battery performance? is it really got something to do with software? i understand a LOT of people adored this phone, wot can i say its simply beautiful BUT should one be content of its battery performance? how would one take advantage of the amazing applications if there's no power to run it with? BLACKBERY PLEASE RECTIFY THIS PROBLEM SOON>

Man this is gr8 phone!!! I got this one 3 days ago.. its just amazing. Battery lif eis not so bad, in fact compared to htc or any other smart phones its outstanding. Video buffering is simply super. excellent call clarity, very good music capabilities, descent camcoder n gr8 camera. very good response to clicks...
I just loved it.. Blackberry kept their std high with this one for sure..

This is my first BB and it's been on charge for 29/30 hours... made a 90min call and I'm at 50%.
I'm highly upset if this phone has issues. I haven't had a new phone in over 2 years and I'm already thinking of sending this back.
I really have no idea what phone to get anymore.
More upsetting that I didn't realise that this phone is only 2G. Why in this day and age do companies make phones that aren't in keeping with the current technologies.
Finding my internet is a bit slow as well... Have I made a mistake with this phone?

I've bought the curve 8900 and when sending mms it does not reach the other party in complete portion, only the first part and last part is readable the middle portion is dotted...could someone advise on solving this problem????

Had my curve since Monday (12th Jan09) and must say i am ever so impressed with it. Video and Music Quality are awesome. Size is perfect. My Battery life is fantastic! not sure if its just mine that seems fine, but i've only charged it once when i first got it and i still got a bar left (Its thursday now.One thing to mention is Battery life does improve greatly over the first couple of weeks on mobiles in general. its recommended you over charge the battery as much as u can. Blackberry reps recommend this.You can also turn the brightness of the screen down to as low as 40% without much noticable difference. Good one Blackberry.

got this phone saturday battery life is expected to be poor with at the start just like a car first 500miles gentle then after that go for it.apart the slight issue with battery the phone is amazing cant fault it music sounds great camera good internet fab and the apps you can download are great. everyone should get one plus the instant messaging is great fun

ive had this fone now for about a week. and as i said before the edge works just fine. i even tried surfing on this and my bold at the same time and had gone thru a few pages while the bold was still trying to load the first one. video streaming is no problem. camera is much better, auto focus is great. gps, wifi, bt, email!! no problems at all. this phone is even more beautiful in person. it doesnt freeze like the bold does. im definitely NOT goin back to bold. this phone is excellent. the only way im changing phones now is if the bbmagnum comes out!

Huge Battery Issue. Looks like software.
I've changed the Battery, the SIM Card, then changed the Device yesterday... fully charged it, Disabled the Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi, Data... and the battery is draining FAST! Never made a phone call, made 2 text msg's, and it went from 100% to 70% in less than 4 hrs. So damn annoying. Going back to 8320.
