Anonymous, 08 Jan 2009NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! This phone is great...why is there n... more3G is a technology whose present implementation (in cell phones) has high power consumption. The are other problems with 3G: it has bad reception and transmission when the phone is moving. To get to the data rate transfers as mega bytes you need to keep the phone very still, otherwise the transfer rate drops up to ten times.

I'v been using mine for 2 or 3 days...its awesome the music player has fantastic sound quality ( better than nokia N95 8GB ) even without 3G the browser is quick and wifi automatically recognises when you are in range of your hot spot and automatically switches to that instead of mobile network browser.....build quality is great!!I highly recommend this handset

the phone is great i just bought one for £390 and i dont regret it. great quality plays most avi formats camera is good 3.2mp has auto focus, music quality best ive heard on a blackberry, pretty load. has doc, xls and ptt documemnts u can edit. video camera is recorded 3gp format but runs smoother. the screen is just wow and the feel of it is the best. best blackberry there is untill the next one comes out.

It is the "perfect" size and fits into the palm of your hand...ehhh...well perfectly! Did I mention the screen....excellent resolution. Intuitive menus, nice bright OS, handy shortcuts, trackball navigation is effective.....listen this handset is brilliant...buy it...stare at it all the time and watch those text and email messages fly in! Just be careful, Crackberry can be addictive

Absolutely love the handset, takes a bit of time to organise everything the way you want it but once that has been done, it works like a dream. Lack of 3G is not a problem for me as I use a Ipod Touch for wi-fi browsing. Plus browsing on a screen this small cam cause problems when rendering some websites. There are so many ways in which you can configure this phone....its mind boggling!! Only one gripe, the keyboard is very usable but has a slight wobble. I have checked with Orange....apparently a manufacturing fault. No big deal just a little annoying.

I have just ordered this with Orange. Arrives on Tuesday - can't wait!! Can i just ask if anyone has it on Orange - what is the cover like for using the internet on the go? Also what is blackberry maps like and is it easy to use wifi - i guess if it is enabled and there is wifi in range you just log on as normal?

                                Woza.

I had the Bold then bought this.

It is easier to type than Bold but it has smaller screen and not that advanced software.

                                  Also it's 2G not 3G.

Bold turned up to be better. I'm going back to Bold.

This phone is absolutely fantastic! By far the best BlackBerry yet. Yes it doesn't have 3G but big whoop! Who really uses 3G anyway, it has everything else and its super sexy!

You need to contact RIM and speak to a tech to send you data to test your phone to make sure your hotmail e-mails are being pushed through. Usually it's just a couple of settings that you have to change and your problem should be fixed.
