So sad 32gb memory and 3gb ram 13mp cam with java OS if it was an android it could be a better phone. Its better to have Brackberry priv or Ascend P8 than a tablet sized java phone!!!

ingabd, 02 May 2016Dear sir you app would be perfect and can replace facebook,... moreThe rewriting of "Open Camera" as BlackBerry 10 native app is almost complete, although there are some overheating issues while recording in 4K via the app. Right now I'm working on the overheating issue, I'm gonna name it BerryCam.
About the unified hub based browser, well I still need to sort out some battery consumption issues on it, and due to some odd reason Instagram constantly keeps on logging out. Gotta work upon it some more.

I'm a freelance developer and right no... moreDear sir you app would be perfect and can replace facebook, twitter, and other social apps with single app, and a big plus, native and integrated to hub. Blackberry hub experience is still an unmatched benefit of bb10. It is good to know that blackberry elites out there are doing their best to provide alternative apps for bb10 users.
It has been harsh time with news about facebook and whatsapp. But as I look at blackberry world, there are lot of newly released native apps that suite my needs well, and I bought them (to name a few, these are not very new: ReadItNow, MyAccountant, Browsie Browser, Snap2Share, Talk2Watch, Hub2Watch, Clipman, Spambox, Inst10, and these are new: Quill, Just10, Face10, some ported bangking apps). This is one of reasons why moving to other platform would be a tough time, in case I move to Priv or install android os on my passport in the future. What's the name of your browser?
Some of my friends that use other platforms complained about their whatsapp. They said whatsapp messages wont be accepted unless they open the whatsapp app. This happen after last update. I think this is kind of unprofessional. This is not suitable for fast response messaging. That's why some people still prefer using old text messaging (sms) because it is very reliable and fast.
For voice recording question, yes passport has this. I use Voice Note app from blackberry world for fast note taking.

I still use Z30. it's an edge device for all your needs at the time. newer devices with faster chipsets are only a hoax. Because you don't need more to do more. Maybe better quality camera should be what you wish. other than this my opinion is this way.

honey, 28 Apr 2016this is not good. it is not supported skype appAndroid based Skype app is working stable. it should be working more efficient on Passport because of faster chipset.

Good day everyone.
I'm a freelance developer and right now I'm developing a new hub based browser for BlackBerry 10 devices which has built in integration for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram (More social sites to follow). All messages and notifications would be delivered to hub via this browser and one doesn't need any secondary app to do so after installing this browser.
Facebook messaging is working too, just needs few improvements in loading speed.
It has built in options to block ads, pop ups and tracking scripts and opens links directly in hub.
So hang in there all BlackBerry lovers we don't need any FB app.
Other hand that I'm also in the process of porting Open camera app to BlackBerry, right now it still has bugs but I'm trying to improve it. So far the progress is good and I've managed to implement forced 4K recording on my Passport through it.

If you use a phone first for excitement and fun, then choose another brand. I use my tablet for fun.
