Hi, am currently using Note4 but now I have to buy one more device so I thought I should go for passport silver, I didn't got some friends here wrote about whatsapp is not available in passport?please gime a suggestion..

Its a budget phone that anyone can buy. i prefer hardcore gaming on this phone. 3GB RAM oh man!! i can play tetris HD on full graphics!! well done BB

If i get whatsapp or faceb... moreAndroid apps will send their notifications to the hub and will be showed as notification (in hub it's showed with bell symbol). Based on my experience with LINE its notification works just fine, I can also use its phone call service. I think blackberry keep upgrading bb10 capability in running Android apps because they run very well compared to the first Android capable 10.2 os (current version is 10.3.2).
One of the advantage of running native apps, like some third party apps, is that they will have their own symbol in the hub, so in the hub you will have lot of symbols (I have more than 10 because every email account got its own tab) that can help you distinguish which is which. I think it is nice so I prefer pay some for third party apps than install the android file. They are not free because they are not sponsored by respective companies. Some companies even don't allow third party apps to access their server, this happened with snapchat. So if you want to install some third party apps, don't forget to save some bucks.
However android apps don't work as smooth as in their native environment, you will experience annoying lags in low spec bb10 like z3, but in passport they are much smoother thanks to its power. I feel their smoothness when I use android phone, but to avoid abusive ads, to get smoothness and stability, to avoid unnecessary restart, easy text editing, so I chose passport. I haven't tried priv but with its very high resolution display, it will drain its battery very fast so no thank you.

It has the power and hardware to do much more than you actually really need in real life, so if you want it my advice is to buy it. I bought is over a year ago and am very satisfied with it, i love it;s uniquefeatures like touch keypad and square display, but the most i like the speed i type vs my Iphone friend :)

Nemey, 07 Apr 2016I just bought BB Passport Silver edition and coming here to... moreDear sir, you can try to install your android banking apps by download the .apk file, then u can install it directly to bb10, or you can also install Google playstore in ur bb10, u can find how to videos from youtube, then install the android banking apps from there. Or other android store like MoboMarket, 1Mobile, and some others. Unfortunately most apps in built in Amazon appstore are games, not so many utility apps.
I personally used the first method, the banking apps work just fine, it is able to transfer, purchase or anything. I also use this way to get LINE messenger. This can also be used if, say whatsapp is no longer supported, I can install the android apk, for this case I think blackberry will make its own whatsapp client, like twitter and facebook, you see in bb world they are created by blackberry itself. Or if you dont want to install android apps, how about internet banking from the web browser? it serves the same purposes.
Some android apps require google play service, which can only be obtained in bb10 by the second method, install Google playstore in bb10. But banking apps, for security reasons I guess, dont use google play service and only connect when needed.
For business apps, you can find serious accountant, CRM, project manager, invoice, or some other native business apps in bb10. I have been using passport for almost a year now, and I like it, hoping for passport 2 may be, its launched almost 2 years ago.

I had purchased this fone 10 days before but I m not able to even transfer my contacts to this fone and majorly the big issue is vibrator is not working I had checked all settings can some one pls really help I had missed today more than 30 important call

BB Passport is an nice phone. I am using it since last several months.
You may also run Several Android applications easily.

im going to buy this phone, i just w... moreNo, it's not good for games because the screen is a square 1:1 ratio. Your games will look like it's being played on an iphone 5. It'll be really small.
This phone is good for reading stuff and social media. It's also a "geeks" phone or a "blackberry fan's" phone. It takes a bit of tinkering to get popular apps to work or you may even have to pay a few bucks for basic apps. ie: Face10 for Facebook and Insta10 for Instagram.
If you just need a phone to pick up and use easily, this is not for you. But the keyboard with built in touch pad, shortcut keys, and wide screen is fantastic if you can get it to do what you need it to do.

If the former try and get a z10 on the second hand market. Buy a spare battery with money saved.
