I just bought BB Passport Silver edition and coming here to find out that Whatsapp wouldn't be available again after 2016??? I am also disappointed that I can get my banking app (LLyods) on this phone (I thought it was a phone for business) I have definitely made the wrong choice???? Please help me

There has the other way to get Facebook. U can use Brower to add Facebook into passport. It is work fine for me now.

Now Blackberry 10 can download a app call Face10 for facebook. lt is close to Facebook. WhatsApp has not change. l think it will close end the year. Maybe that time has the other way to soft it. Passport is very good phone. But it is too big and cannot hold with one hand.

AnonD-72246, 27 Mar 2016Be honesty, Blackberry look like sinking ship. l owned Appl... moreTruth be told Windows 10 phones feel like a oddball mix of Windows Phone 8.1 and Android features, they even have in built file manager and the interface of the file manager looks bit too much like an Android file manager. Then they have this new dropdown menu which looks as if someone crossbred Windows with Blackberry 10 and Android. And if that's not enough they have copied notification system from Blackberry 10 too, in Blackberry 10 one can reply to messages without going to hub by clicking on the reply button when a notification appears on the screen, well Microsoft have straight on copied and implemented the same idea on its notification system too. PC Sync system of Groove Music and Films and TV is a straight copy of iTunes sync and if you want iBooks equivalent then just install BookViser (Yeah it has PC app too which works in exactly same way as Mac app iBooks). With Windows 10 now there are plethora of new apps including even open source apps like ScummVM. Their new browser Microsoft Edge has an interface oddly similar to Google Chrome, although it is faster than Chrome. With Windows 10 phones I think Microsoft is back in doing what it does the best, i.e, copying randomly from everyone and renaming them all as their own.
Even Android feels more original in design than Windows 10 phones.

Well, I doubt you will get answer to you question from everybody on this forum.
I can give you my opinion, but decision is always yours, and yours only.
If you like all the pros BB Passport offers (wide 1:1 screen, excellent battery life, great UI, mechanical QWERTY keyboard, etc.), and you can live with it's shortcomings (partial Android support, integrated battery, 'strange' design, probable discontinuation of BB10), then go for it and don't look back, because you will get an excellent device.

I've used most cellphone and I owned Blackberry Bold 9900.
for me the Love of blackbery stoped when BIS was discontinued
but there are still few blackberry devices I will go for without BIS
like Z10 simple easy potable light in weight and full touch.
In my opinion size really matters before I buy a device must be potable
easy to carry and light in weight
In passport I don't see one of these Qualities and as for. how ever the name given and the slogan used for the device to me it as if the cellphone was built for some business man and if I was a businessman I would consider to own one
