I really don't like this phone. I had a Nokia N95 so it's hard to go from a top notch phone to this. But I lost my N95 and this is what T-Mo gave me as a "comparable" replacement. I am tech savvy but admit I finally had to give in & purchase Blackberry for Dummies becuase it is so different and not intuitive or user friendly. In fairness somethings are very nice on the phone. Using it as a modem is actually great. The rest is often a pain. Menus are often multi-levels deep for simple tasks and I think that's what's so frustrating. As I have grown more used to and better educated on the phone I still haven't been bit by the CrackBerry bug. One of the most annoying yet simple things is the time zone change problem. It often doesn't hold the change and I can't find in the book or anyone who can tell me how to make it happen automatically. I travel a lot so it's disappointing. Multiple language support is poor, but that may be T-Mo since US carriers aren't fond of giving us more than 2 or 3 choices. The extra hidden menus actually make the phone easier and more enjoyable to use, but it's hard to know when they are there and how to access them. RIM's / T-Mo's Blackberry Support group is however very helpful and they really do try to make it work. I just wish it required less calls, meaning easier to figure out on one's own. I understand the other models are easier to use from friends who are big CrackBerry fans. Maybe I will grow into a more satisfied owner with more experience, but that's my bottom line point. Useful technology has to be able to be used and figured out with effort but not such heavy effort. I'm not giving up yet on the BB Pearl, but thought I'd share what a newbie to RIM encounters on this particlar version. Not too many "OMG this are great features" I'm not feeling the love/buzz about Blakberry. So far I doubt I'd get another one or recommend this version to anyone. Happy learning !!

If you're experiencing difficulties with this fone, or if it operates in unusal way, try formatting it. You can go to your local cellphone technicians to do it for you.
They will erase everything on your phone (even the system files) and install a fresh firmware. With that, it is now supposed to run smoothly.
I formatted my phone myself and now i dont have any problems with it..
