I have a Blackberry and i had the same problem. My test messages and call logs were getting deleted. Then I finally (after months of this happening) decided to try and find if anybody had this problem online. Turns out alot of people do. But I also found out why this happens and I found a way to solve the problem. It does not matter how big your sd memory card is. Because your phone uses it's own memory for running things. ANY time you are using a program exit out correctly!!!!! If you don't you leave that program running causing the Blackberry to use too much memory and it then deletes unecessary stuff like text messages and call logs. The correct thing to do its to delete any unwanted apps. BUT the most important thing is exiting out of programs. here's how you do it. when trying to leave a program press the menu button (button to the left of the tracking ball) and scroll down until you see "close" click on it and exit. That's it if you do this you won't make your blackberry overwork it's memory. very simple solution no need to cry about it. Try it and good luck

The blackberry pearl has so many problems that right when I fix one another one pops up but sometimes they are really worth it. If your having a lot of problems with it get it checked out or try taking the battery out for a minute. And if you think blackberries are expensive they dont have to be. Dont get it from a store that specializes with technology and phones cuz there its like $100 but I got mine for $30 at Sam's Club.

Anonymous, 01 Dec 2008My pearl does the same thing. Before I can even read a text... moreexpensive phone first , no free assistance from blackberry for trouble shooting second, and then an update have to be download for new features.
doesn't take video and really limited in memory which entails several bugs, slow O.S
