jsk, 16 Nov 2008Out of all the phones I have ever had my blackberry pearl i... moreMy pearl does the same thing. Before I can even read a text it deletes it and most of the time ppl tell me I texted you and I never get them. I will never buy a blackberry again to me they just a waste of money.They are very frustrating and when I download ringtones it really acts funny it will really begin to delete my text messages..THe pearl sucks I'm switching to a sidekick.

hey guys u need some education seriously
you ppl are havin problems recieving files from
the bluetooth, the reason is simple, you just need
to select the option Recieve files from bluetooth
which is just above send flie using blutooth

my blackberry can send files to other handsets but it can not recieving any file from other handsets. Can any one hepl me with that?

jsk, 16 Nov 2008Out of all the phones I have ever had my blackberry pearl i... morei had the exact same problem blackberry pearls are the worst and wats really bad is that u have to go thru so many things to prove to the phone people that wat is actually going on is true its very frustrating and gets you nowhere my advice to anyone considering a blackberry pearl........... DONT DO IT!!!

This pearl was the first pearl to ever come onto the market, if ur looking for one with wi-fi capability, aim for the 8220 or the 8120 .

The worst phone I have ever seen and the worst service to boot from Bell. My phone died after 2 months and Im on week 9 waiting for a new one. The Bell guy did tell me last week that there is a HUGE problem with this phone and my replacement will likely crash too. They are still selling them like hotcakes to people who believe them when their told they are reliable phones. I was told if it did crash they would have me a new phone in 2-3 working days...like I said Im on week 9 now and have been told it could take another 4...my advice is DONT go with this phone and DONT go with Bell.

Is anyone having problems with texts,emails & call logs being deleted? Well I just got off the phone with Sprint regarding this issue & apparently some of the pearls for some reason get to a point where they tnink that the memory is full. Therefore it begins to delete. BlackBerry is supposedly working on this issue but they're not working on it fast enough suit me. My phone has had this problem for MONTHS! Its also very irritating because, let's say you send a text and you're expecting a reply. You send your text and go on about your business. Minutes later you check your phone and low & behold, everything has been deleted. Now if you weren't paying attention or didn't happen to hear that one weak little alert that you can't change on the phone, you could have gotten your reply & it could have been deleted before you even saw it. I have people say to me, "did you get my text?" no bacause it was probably deleted before I got to it. Sprint did say that when this happens you should take your battery out for two minutes which will cause the phone to re boot.I shouldn't have to do that. I do think that these phone companies need to get in blackberry's butt about this because technically, people who are having this problem are paying for services that aren't even working correctly. If I'm paying for your services and they aren't working correctly then you need to try to make it right or else this also reflects poorly on you. If that means that phone companies call BlackBerry everyday bugging the poo out of them to get this fixed then that's what they need to do. I've only had this phone for six months and I hate it. To be such a great phone there are so many features that this phone does not have. As much as they cost it aught to be able to cook dinner. I liked my Katana better than this phone. I was so excited when I finally got a blackberry & now all I want to do is throw it up against a wall. Its just not all its cracked up to be. Congratulations to everyone who got a properly working blackberry.

you have to request to receive the file from the blackberry first... i had the same problem.. almost broke the phone

This is the worst phone that i have ever had. I am in australia and it is based as an American phone. So all the settings including maps are American not australian. Plus there are many other problems
