Im not sure why it does that but all i did to get rid of the ABC was take the battery out and put it back in to reset it... it has seemed to work for the time being.

i got dis fone a lil while ago n i was wondering how do i set up the bb messenger, it tells me dat i have 2 add contacts by email or pin n wen i scroll over 2 a email, it does not let me add it
but other than dat dis fone is great

I added bluetooth on my Pearl and now I can't receive txt. I can send them out although it will not display the other person will receive them but it will not show on my phone that it was sent. Help!

hi joseph,
as long as your phone is unlocked it will work anywhere!...get it unlocked in here in the US and then carry it.it is a beautiful phone i ahve been usong for an year now.

You need to delete all of the extra themes and whatnot(pictures) you have on your phone's memory. Get a microSD card and change the media card settings (in options) to mass media storage. Your phone is running out of memory and it deletes things such as your SMS messages and phone log to make room.

This phone honestly suck....i dont recommend anyone getting this phone. it may look nice but really the quality of the phone SUCKS!

Could anyone tell me how to make the Blackberry Curve loud.. Is it just my phone but the ringtones aren't as loud as they can be...

Hallo everyone pls does anyone know how to install 3rd party themes on the blackberry pearl? after using the desktop installer to put it d phone, when I go to themes under options I don't see it! (i checked the advance options under options and saw it was in the phone. But i still could not install it from there)..I tried removing the battery and putting back in after a couple of mins but I still don't see itin themes and therefore could not apply it! Help pls! Thanks.

I love my pearl! greatest phone I`ve ever had, but it got stolen from me. I`m getting a new one first chance i get. Highly recommended.

Ahhhhh Ive been reading alot of the issues people are having with the Blackberry Pearl. I went through 3 Pearls in the span of two weeks back in November. I was having many issues everyone else is having. My biggest issue was the deleting all of my messages out of my inbox and sent box. Also deleting my call log. All 3 Pearls would be fine for three to four days and then bam! all the sudden it would start deleting it all. I had text messages and phone calls coming in and they would be deleted before I even had a chance to see what the message said or who the call was from. I was not storing pictures or music or anything of the sort on the phone itself so it wasnt a space issue. I ended up switching to a completely different phone. Am still bummed about the issues. It was a great phone ......for the first three days each phone I had. Had hoped to see that the issues have been fixed and maybe Id try going back with the Pearl ..... Im guessing the issues still exist.

i love my blackberry pearl, but i keep having the same issue where it keeps deleting my test messages and call logs. I've gone thru 2 pearls with the same issue. The gal at ATT told me it might be a SIM card issue, but i havent changed it out yet to try.
I have found a temp solution tho..
Do a hard rebot-- turn off the phone, take out the battery and sim card for a couple of mins and then put everything back and turn it back on. It fixes the problem for a couple of weeks..
If anyone finds a better solution, please let me know.

I had the same problem with it deleting all my call logs and SMS text messages. What I did was went into options, SMS text, and then I changed "save messages to SIM card" to "yes". It's working for now, nothing has been deleted, but it's not the same. Now I keep having to delete my texts because my SIM card is full, and whenever I start getting more texts, my typing speed is significantly slower. It's like it's loading the letters as I type them.
It's pretty annoying and I'd like it to be fixed completely, but like I said, it's working for right now if you want to try it.
